Alison’s place was perfect for two young families. Incredible location, so central to the shops and an easy stroll to the estuary. The house is really well equipped. We enjoyed our stay, we found it very comfortable for a group of friends with young families. The house is set up really well in a beautiful setting and the spa pool is an added bonus! Stephens communication and instructions were great. Highly recommend others to stay!

We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend! Beautiful views and a lovely quiet neighborhood. We loved using the spa pool in the evenings and playing some of the games provided. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was nice and clean. There were thoughtful touches like toys and bath wash for dogs, which we really appreciated. Rachyl and Mandy had excellent communication, very friendly and prompt. They were very helpful and kindly accommodated our early check in request. There is a fish and chip shop and cafe up the road and the nearest Four Square is about 10min drive away. The perfect play to stay for a peaceful getaway, we would be happy to stay again!

I stayed here for the weekend with my partner for our anniversary and it was lovely! The house was very peaceful and clean. It was like a neighbourhood on a very long driveway, with walking tracks, tennis courts and beaches on the way through. The spa pool was amazing and relaxing, great place to watch the sunset. Vicki was very helpful and lovely, letting us checkout later than we were supposed to because she said she wouldnt be back till the next day. Beautiful place! Highly recommend for a peaceful and private getaway! ☺️

Karl's property really is heaven on earth and a great place to recharge the batteries. We loved watching the everchanging landscape across the bay and had a great feeling of privacy. The property had every utensil to cook up some lovely meals although we would highly recommend the Fish and Chip shop and The Deck for super breakfasts which are less than 5 minutes away. Karl kindly left us some wine and beer which was much appreciated! Karl is also a super-responsive host. We really do hope to return at some point when next in the area and recommend highly enough. If you book this property you won't be disappointed.

We have stayed at many beach houses but this felt homely and welcoming. The kids absolutely loved making pizza and having a morning and night spa. Chase suggested a few fishing spots which were amazing the kids got to see a few stingrays which was a highlight and got a couple snappers for dinner from a local fisherman. The beach , skate park/playground , local walking tracks were all amazing . There’s so much to do in this area if your an outdoorsy family. If your into op shops there are a few around as well loved it!! We will be back because we have been trapped by the The Trap!!!

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful Gill's home is. The surroundings are so beautiful, short drive into town where you can find everything your looking for. Gill is such a wonderful and kind host, if you have a chance to visit her home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making my son's wedding so special, so lucky to have met such a amazing woman.

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

Vanessa and Paul’s place is the perfect location that is close to town but also far enough away to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The kids loved the pool, adults the spa and we all enjoyed smores around the fire.

Such a magical place with beautiful views of the coast line and hills. The two cabins decorated with a rustic but modern feel and an outdoor area with seating and bbq that separates the cabins, such a great escape for couples or families as there is a good amount of space. Tonia was really polite and made us feel at home. Also made all instructions really clear and easy to follow and was always easy to reach if needed.

Beautiful stay! Very clean, amazing views and Spa, and friendly hosts. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a relaxing getaway. 10/10

Carol’s place is heaven - three separate cabins for bed, bath & kitchen and each has a gorgeous view of the bush and the hills. Also very private as the main house is blocked off! It feels like you’re camping with the indoor/outdoor flow of each but you’ve got the comfort of modern amenities. Such a comfy bed, great kitchen with gas stovetop & everything you need (and some goodies in the fridge we very much appreciated!!), a BBQ, rain shower head, outdoor bath… & Carol herself is lovely. Super welcoming & friendly and offered lots of local recommendations for our stay. Thank you for everything!

Sheryl and Ian were very warm and friendly hosts with good recommendations for local coffee and places of interest. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved the cute cabin details, books and artwork. The outdoor kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and the spa added a nice touch of relaxing luxury.
