Holiday rentals in Whitestone River

My wife and I stayed in this lovely, modern four bedroom, three bathroom house for five nights in February. The view is fantastic and it was huge for just the two of us. We were welcomed with a nice assortment of fruit and groceries that were much appreciated. It was really nice to sit outside on the terrace, or at the large dining room table, and watch the boats go by and the sun change on the lake and mountains. It is very private and yet right in town. The fully equipped kitchen was great for making many of our meals. We used the bikes to cruise the town and to explore some of the pretty extensive bike paths that run out of town. We really felt like we were living like locals in this house and would gladly stay there again when in Te Anau.

Rachel’s apartment, “Luxury and Location”, was the perfect place for my husband and me to stay while in Te Anau. The apartment was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was roomy and had everything we needed. The kitchenette was perfect for small bites or snacks. Be aware that there is a microwave, but no stove/oven for real cooking. This didn’t bother us since it was just a 5 minute walk to loads of restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed hanging out by the lake and were able to book a Milford Sound bus/boat tour that picked us up just around the corner. We would definitely book again when visiting this area.

This is a great place to stay: the location is beautiful, with glorious views over the lake and a path down to the water just over the road from the house. The back garden and deck are lovely too. The house is spacious and comfortable; we were very happy with our four nights and only wished we could have stayed longer. When we had a query, Linda was very quick to reply. Very highly recommended.

This house is beautiful, the hosts are really thoughtful the kitchen is packed with every utensil you could think of! The pantry is also well stocked. The beds were nice and comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Good location, 5 mins from restaurants, stores, must do’s like the glow worm caves and the gateway to the Milford Sound it is really an excellent location!

What an amazing and peaceful stay! The surroundings are absolutely incredible…the outside spa was really a treat after a day of hiking and adventure. The entire home was spotless and had all necessary amenities. Highly recommend!

We loved the Tiny Tuis. It was really well thought out and felt really homely. It had everything we needed and more, including a lovely outside deck to relax and eat on. Easy walk into town and to the lake, and we used it as a base for milford sound too which worked well. Would highly recommend staying at Leeanne's place.

Perfect location for exploring Milford and Doubtful Sounds. House was large and very nice. Would definitely stay again.
