Family-friendly holiday rentals in Wine Country

We had an excellent stay, and our family trip to Sonoma and Napa Valley was fabulous! We definitely would stay here again.

Casa Sophia was exactly as described. My wife and I stayed for about two weeks with our four-year-old. The house accommodates kids very well. The living room with stove was a joy to hang out in over the holidays. It's one of the only AirBnB kitchens I've enjoyed cooking in as it basically has all the equipment needed and plenty of space. Even the knives were sharp. We couldn't take advantage of the outside area as much as we would have liked since it rained almost the entire stay, but it is gorgeous and hanging out in the hot tub on a sunny morning sipping coffee watching mist peel off the redwoods was a highlight for me. Quick drive to Guerneville, 20 minutes to the coast and a half-hour to Santa Rosa. We went on walks all over the neighbourhood as well. The neighbours are friendly and lots of dogs to greet. All three of us were very sad to leave. It was a great home.

Mary's listing in Guerneville was wonderful; highly recommend to anyone seeking serenity in a comfy (clean) cabin. The location was ideal, close to everything; the cabin was quaint and cozy- with all the amenities you would need for a mini getaway. Hot tub was a plus; comfortable and very clean. Instructions for everything were clear. We would definitely return!

This place was perfect for the location, backyard, and hottub! I would highly recommend this place as it’s 3 minutes from downtown or a 10-15 minute easy walk. Also, the backyard has a cute covered patio and a hottub. The place was cute and cozy and would come back again!

Charming little cabin in a great area! It’s conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown, with plenty of dining options and little shops. Cabin was super spacious and had great amenities. Would visit again.

My little family was in desperate need of a getaway and some quality family time. Jeannette's house was just what we needed. It was a cold and wet weekend in Rio Nido, but that was fine by us. The surrounding area is so beautiful and peaceful, and we had the most lovely dog walks exploring the area. The home itself was incredibly comfortable and cozy and had everything we needed. The heated blankets were a nice touch! We made excellent use of the hot tub, and spied some cool wildlife from our very comfortable position in the jacuzzi. My daughter was very excited for the hot cocoa K-cup pods and I certainly appreciated the coffee options. The neighborhood was very quiet (I'm guessing because we were there in Feb. and not the more popular summer season). Having the Roadhouse so close was convenient, but we mostly did our own cooking. Friendly heads up that the smoke detectors are very sensitive (a good thing!) so turn on fan and open windows before cooking on the stove! :)

My family of 5 adults had a wonderful, peaceful stay. A few of us rarely left - it was so nice. Others enjoyed nearby hikes. We all cooked a lot so the well stocked kitchen was great. The home had every pot, pan, utensil we could possibly want, and Surf Market and Gualala Market had everything we needed (including Duck Fat!). The house was warm and cozy (great fireplace, lots of wood, excellent heat) despite all the amazing windows and skylights that looked out on the dripping redwood forest. The hot tub was used repeatedly. Furniture was comfy for readers and we all had a good time binging on favorite shows in the evening. lots of cozy blankets, towels and comfy beds/bedding. When we come again (and we will!), we might throw a few table top task lights in the car (or perhaps they are readily available had we asked) b/c we could have used brighter light for cooking in the kitchen, and activities at the dining room table. All in all, a winner for us!

There is something comforting about the original Vallejo bungalows. This property has all the elements for a perfect stay. Quiet, easily accessible with parking, filled with home amenities (W/D is a huge plus) The views are lovely. The backyard with hot tub add to the vacation feel. You won’t regret booking this charmer

The place was exactly like the picture showed. The house has lots of space very comfortable. We enjoy so much the playroom and it’s huge. The location of the house was fantastic right in the center of everything. Very well equipped kitchen and the beds was superb. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

The Cottage was a cozy and scenic place to enjoy a visit to Mendocino. The view of the coast is stunning, and a nice group of guests gathered around the firepit and grill to admire the breathtaking sunset! We also appreciated the sofabed for our child. This was a convenient, clean and straightforward place to stay for a fun getaway.

2nd time staying here! Great space with nice touches that are appreciated and it’s centrally located for Oakland and the East Bay. Will definitely come back next time I do Airbnb in Oakland

Wonderful appliances. Kitchen met our needs. Everything clean as a whistle. Appreciate that smoking only on porch… I hadn’t noticed that it was allowed. Quite a relief. Thank you Mara for notifying of early check in possible and having a lovely space for us.

Alan was a wonderful host very responsive and Airbnb is lovely with vintage decor and even a bottle of wine. Location was excellent, close to restaurants, dog park, and a nice backyard for our dog. I was in Danville to visit friends. I had time and easy opportunity to walk Iron Horse trail out their back gate to the downtown area and to enjoy the shops, restaurants and ambiance. The area is desirable for so many reasons and John's home and guest house is another pleasant part of that attraction. Thanks.

It was the perfect place for our family to gather over the holidays. Cozy but spacious with that back cottage providing a separate space for separate couple.

This quaint studio has a stunning view of the ocean, provides two beautiful patios to enjoy and is well equipped for all of your cooking needs! The bed is super comfortable! We also appreciated that it is dog friendly. Communication with Cindy was great. The place was extremely clean and we felt right at home for the long weekend, visiting Van Damme, Mendocino and the local surf breaks! Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay at this exquisite and luxurious home was simply divine. Its prime location afforded us effortless access to the renowned wineries and tasting rooms of Lasseter, Beltane, Imagery, Benzinger, and Tailsman. The convenience of a local grocery store, delightful restaurants, and a charming French bakery, all within walking distance, further enhanced our experience. The generously sized hot tub, impeccably clean and perfectly heated, provided blissful relaxation. The beautifully landscaped yard, complete with the soothing sounds of the creek, created a truly magical and restorative ambiance. Every detail of our visit was flawless, exceeding all expectations. Lovely house in a quiet neighborhood. Amenities and supplies were as described, and the house had a very open, relaxing and warm flow to it. Great family trip especially with the heated pool in winter! Gina was very helpful and responsive with all of our questions ahead of and during our stay.

We had a great stay at the Ukiah Place! The property was exactly as advertised, with breathtaking views and thoughtful accommodations for guests. Everything we needed was provided, making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience. If you’re bringing dogs, just be mindful of ticks in the area, as it’s a rural setting. Overall, a fantastic getaway spot!

I absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous property!! The house was so well kept and styled very well with everything you could need in the kitchen. We had a slight issue with water when we checked in but they were quick to communicate with us and we resolved the issue quickly. The pool area and grounds were absolutely stunning. The most incredible home and location!! So far exceeded our expectations!! The setting was gorgeous and serene and perfectly located - short drive to amazing restaurants and vineyards!! We’re already searching for our next opportunity to visit this amazing property!! Couldn’t recommend it more!!!

This was ideal home for we five friends looking to enjoy wine tasting, great restaurants, shopping, cooking in-house, spacious rooms. Large attractive table for meals; cozy kitchen nook with afternoon sun; living room ideal for relaxing and playing charades. For the reasonable extra fee, we enjoyed the warm pool in cold winter. Beds were comfy-so important. Nice to have the 2 bathrooms. Located just under 2 miles from Sonoma Plaza and close to local wineries. Nearby- outstanding Sonoma Market for fresh everything. Quick communication from host.

We would rent this place again! We chose it as a holiday retreat because it looked like a good place to entertain our friends in the area, with a large open kitchen and comfortable lounging spots, and it delivered in that regard. As is the case with almost any short-term rental, if you're planning to do significant cooking, you'll need to bring your own kitchen tools -- we packed in (or had friends bring over) a food processor, hand held mixer, decent knives and a vegetable peeler. The place had a Vitamix blender and an immersion blender, both of which were a happy surprise. The other happy surprise: A beautiful Christmas tree.
