Apartment holiday rentals in Zanzibar

After 2 weeks of volunteering, this accommodation was great to come down and relax. The location was really great and Barbara was always on hand to help with recommendations, a bajaji etc. needed. It was a great end to our time in Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

Lulu and Munir were great hosts! They were extremely responsive and friendly. There was a snag with the wifi and they brought a mobile router over until it was fixed. Super helpful!! The apartment wss very clean and looked even better than the pictures. The AC and fans worked great and the shower was exceptionally warm and comfy! They even had a Dada come clean every two days! I would certainly recommend this apartment and we will return again!

We had a great stay, lovely place, clean and nicely furnished, great pool, nesr the besch and the village. The host was very friendly and helpfull!

This was my third stay with Saidi in Fumba, and just like the first time, it was absolutely fantastic! Saidi is an exceptional host warm, welcoming, and always available to assist with anything needed. His hospitality truly makes you feel at home. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for a peaceful getaway. Whether it’s enjoying the serene surroundings, exploring the local area, or simply relaxing, Fumba is a great escape from the busier parts of Zanzibar. What keeps me coming back is not just the beautiful setting but also Saidi’s genuine kindness and attention to detail. He goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a great experience. Really nice place for a family of 4-5, place was close to many local things to do such as the beach being 8-10 minute walk, local restaurants that were a few minutes walk that were recommended and were really good and the items available for you to cook at Home utensils and such,Washer/Dryer to clean your clothes and the host was just responsive and kind !

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The house itself was excellent — spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere. One of the standout features was the air conditioning, which worked perfectly and kept the space comfortable even during the hotter parts of the day. The location was absolutely beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic environment that made it easy to relax and unwind. Whether you're looking to explore the area or simply enjoy some quiet time, it's a perfect setting. Inside, the living space was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi speed was also impressive, which was a huge plus for both work and streaming. Lastly, the local hosting service was top-notch. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Overall, I highly recommend this property — it truly felt like a home away from home.

Sissy and her team are great hosts. The food was fresh and amazing. They made great efforts to help get access to shops and things to do. The help with taxi drivers was great.

We spent a wonderful few days in Fumba Town with our children! It was very quiet and clean! The apartment and the service of Neema are great! Beautiful surroundings with beautiful park, great pool and the sea is also very welcoming at high tide. Shopping, restaurants all within walking distance through beautiful, shaded parks with lots of plants. Great playground for the children directly opposite the apartment!

The complex is a small paradise and is well maintained daily. The pool area is also beautifully designed and invites you to relax & swim. The apartment is nicely cut and completely sufficient for 2 guests, terrace and garden are also very nice and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped overall, as is the bathroom, but there is no storage space in the shower itself. 2 tips on the edge: 1. There are no tabs/powder/salt for the dishwasher. If you don't want to wash yourself, it's best to bring tabs, as the existing powder is designed for washing machines and the dishes are not properly cleaned. 2. We recommend coffee drinkers to bring an express kettle or a French press, as there is no machine on site;-). We would definitely return as we felt very comfortable here and the landlords are very caring and friendly. Overall, the apartment is beautifully rented and reasonably priced.

Our stay was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, making us feel like we had stepped into a boutique hotel. The space was impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated, and filled with little touches that made it feel like home. The amenities rivaled those of a high-end hotel. Yet, there was also a homely charm: a cozy living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and amazing service with local tips that made the experience extra special. The attention to detail and responsiveness made everything seamless, from check-in to check-out.

I recently stayed at this lovely apartment near Stone Town, and it was an incredible experience! The location is perfect—close enough to explore the historic Stone Town but situated in a quiet and peaceful area, which made for a relaxing stay. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind after a day of exploring. It had everything I needed for a enjoyable trip. The host was absolutely wonderful! They were very responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Zanzibar. The combination of a great location, spacious and comfortable accommodations, and an exceptional host made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

This is an architectural gem in a tropical garden with wonderful art in the gallery.Really inspiring.And only 250 m to a beach hotel or a lovely restaurant in the Mbweni Ruins and Gardens.And Markus is a superb host

Loved Stefania’s cozy place right in the heart of StoneTown near both Emerson hotels. Loved to hear the neighborhood kids playing outside - it was the sound of unbridled joy. While western kids are labeled as ADHD because their parents want to give them drugs to be quiet, these kids are allowed to be free to release their energy and just be children. Loved all the friendly faces around. It was lovely. Thanks to Stefania as well as her helpers, Sara and Rama!! Great team!

Our stay was very pleasant. Saidi was always there, whether it was a power outage or questions about the area. The place was as described, the rooms were not clairaudient and the kitchen had the basics you need. The washing machine was a big +. Getting to the accommodation was not so easy at first, but after one to two you can find the way very easy. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.

very hard to find. the best is if you put feza school in to google maps. the apartment is around the corner. otherwise the apartment is very nice and clean. we also loved the pool. hope to come back one day

We stayed for 5 weeks (!) at Culture & Alessandra's place and we absolutely LOVED it. Although we booked another apartment, we were really happy with the one we got. The location is phenomenal, as it is literally less than 2 minutes walking to the beach. Yet it feels very private because the house is on a dead-end street. The apartment is simple, but fully equipped. We felt right at home. Alessandra is truly the very best and sweetest host you could wish for. She helped us a lot with renting a motorcycle, making restaurant reservations and even took us to the hospital when (unfortunately) needed. Their dog Bantu often walked with us to the beach or came to lay with us on the porch, so cozy! We did have some problems with the AC - we couldn't get the room cooler than 26 degrees and it often failed because of power cuts (a general electricity problem in Zanzibar). Funny enough, 5 weeks still felt too short, so we hope to come back and then we will definitely stay here again.

This place is comfortable, beautiful, well appointed, clean and staffed with great people.
