Wow, this place is so incredible! You're looking around, trying to choose between similar looking AirBnb's, and sometimes you just get super lucky. This place is an absolute gem! Beautiful and private surroundings doesn't quite capture it--it's on its own nature preserve with walking trails, a swimming pool, and a plethora of gorgeous plants and trees. We saw so many exotic birds just from the spacious balcony, which also has commanding views all the way to the ocean, as well as a hot tub! And the hosts were very thoughtful and went the extra mile--incredibly nice and considerate folks. This place is such a great find--we were so sad to leave. Thanks so much for the amazing stay!

The home was amazing with amazing views. It was very private for a large group of people with great accommodations. My entire group raved about the home and various spaces around the property. Our family truly enjoyed staying at Chiri Glamping. Our son had a great time climbing on the rock wall, swinging, sliding, and soaking in the hot tub. The bed and linens were the most comfortable of all our accommodations in 12 nights in CR - luxurious and plush. The bathroom was surrounded by nature and the shower products were soothing and relaxing, and everyone had their own robe. The essential oils were a nice touch, and the ac kept the room cool and inviting. We cooked dinner in the well stocked kitchen, and my husband got an amazing cocktail in the beautiful restaurant. The front desk staff was friendly, thorough, and escorted us to our room. The view overlooks Santa Elena and it was striking to watch the clouds come in and then go out within minutes. This is truly and special experience. We did hear music in the night from a nearby business and there was a bike race in the morning that woke us quite early, but in this convenient to town location, it is inevitable. Recommended!

I really enjoyed staying here. The Villa is really nice and comfortable. I really loved the jacuzzi and pool with the waterfall and the way it lit up at night was amazing.

We had another wonderful stay at Ruth’s Casa del Agua. We were there two years ago with friends and loved it! So peaceful! Town does not have a lot of people. Pristine beaches! The house is perfect! Will return again!!

It was like staying in a hidden oasis. Home and garden were beautiful and pristine. Hosts were friendly and responsive. We enjoyed our time and would definitely stay there again. It’s a hidden gem.

Beautiful place both the location and the accommodation itself. Norwin was super responsive, kind, helpful, all the appreciable qualities in a host. The house is only 15 minutes from the city center but located in a super peaceful area. We would highly recommend this listing. La casa Pura vida is aptly named!!

Josh was a wonderful host. He was very responsive and gave us a lot of ideas about the surrounding area. Feeling right at home, right away. We only wished we booked 10 days not five. Again... the many different birds all around us was cool. The pool was perfect along with the view of the Volcano. I'll come back in the future. We also loved that it was 14 minutes outside of La Fortuna. Which made for a very relaxing stay.

This place is such a hidden gem! It’s in a peaceful mountain area with stunning views—perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The building itself has a really unique and artistic style, which makes it stand out, and it’s just as beautiful inside. The property is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home. Pedro, the host, was very responsive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I’ve already recommended this place to a few friends, and I’ll definitely be keeping it in mind for a return trip. Highly recommend!

We had a very nice vacation, the location of the property is undoubtedly spectacular due to the views it has towards the ocean with some incredible sunsets, what was the communication with Don Luis Carlos was accurate and attentive.

Jorge’s Villa Los Encinos is a great place to stay, offering a peaceful location near Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja and Liberia, away from crowds. It’s a great alternative to expensive mountain hotels, with a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature. Jorge, the host, is very hospitable and quick to address any issues, such as fixing a broken shower hose or light bulb. The villa has some minor shortcomings, such as missing blackout curtains and a lack of a dedicated workroom, but for the price, it’s a great value. The pool area is shared, not private as listed, and there may be construction noise nearby, though Jorge handled it promptly. Noise from animals, like barking dogs and roosters, is typical in Costa Rica. The kitchen lacks a table and chairs, but this can be worked around. Some cleanliness issues and outdated photos in the listing should be noted. Overall, the villa offers a wonderful, tranquil experience with a welcoming host.

We had the best time at Casa Del Rio! The home was well equipped, staff were extremely responsive and the breakfast that was included was outstanding. Spa and other great amenities on site. The showers were hot and great water pressure! The kitchen is open air so don’t leave food out at night.

This was an amazing get away for my family. The pool is amazing the space is very spacious and the kitchen well equipped. It’s the perfect location for a big group we had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant near the house.

The house and the place is very nice, only to go to the pool area if there is a bit of access for people with motor disabilities. Everything is great, recommended.

Edgar’s place provided three “old guys” all that we needed as a break from the cold in Canada. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need, it sits directly on a very quiet ocean front in a safe gated community. The nearby restaurant is excellent, we spent many evenings there sampling most of the dishes on the menu, all were great. For the nights your not at the restaurant be sure and have Alberto provide you a private meal, you will enjoy your evening with Alberto, if you are in a hurry, don't get him talking. Your host Edgar is a great communicator, be sure to let him know if there is anything that you need. Flight delays caused our check in to be late, around midnight, knowing we would be too late to shop for supplies, Edgar met us at the house with drinks and sandwiches, after a 20 hour travel day this was greatly appreciated. You won't regret choosing a vacation at Edgar’s place in Tivives.

I received a warm welcome at check-in; very friendly hosts. The location is lovely, with grand views of the surrounding valley and hills. The trees and garden make it a peaceful oasis. The apartment is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, as well as comfortable and cozy. Floor-to-ceiling windows make you feel like you are outside among the trees. The kitchen is better-equipped than you find in many Airbnb’s. As others have mentioned, you can walk to the town in about 15 minutes. There are also plenty of taxis in the town. I arrived in Atenas by bus, and had no problem getting around without a car. I would definitely recommend Cat and Yolanda’s place, and will stay there again in the future.

The villa is very big, beautiful, and comfortable. We stayed for a couple of nights and we had a total of 3 to 8 people that stayed during our trip. I didn’t show anyone photos of the villa beforehand so they were shocked and when they walked to the deck and saw the indoor pool their mouths dropped open. The first thing we did was unpack our groceries and clothing and started cooking on the charcoal grill and ate dinner on the back patio next to the grill. After we ate, we cleaned up, and enjoyed the swimming pool and played table tennis. The next day we cooked a huge breakfast, talked, relaxed, watched Netflix and connected my cell phone via Bluetooth to the sound system and played my music that was heard throughout the entire house. Everyone loved the villa and Federico is great as advertised.
