Welcomed by Geraldine and her husband like friends, Geraldine had good communication with us prior to arrival and personally met us offering recommendations in the local area. The property is a beautiful listed building and inside is just as to be expected Geraldine’s little touches made our visit more personal the option of using the wood burning fire added to the romance of the surroundings . My children loved the fact Geraldine invited them to meet her dogs and we all wanted to stay longer. We spent two days at Alton Towers which is just 20mins away so ideal, the surrounding village and countryside is picturesque we saw large birds of prey as well as the more usual animals. We can recommend Geraldine and her husband along with their property I couldn’t imagine a better place to cosy up to the fire or go thrill seeking! The best of everything with the added bonus of wonderful hosts if I could give it more than five stars I would. Thank you Geraldine.

We were absolutely over the moon with our stay at this cottage. We could not believe how beautiful it was and how peaceful the surroundings were. Everything inside was spotless and we were welcomed with bread, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits which was a lovely touch. The hosts were so responsive and made sure we checked in okay. The lock box was an amazing and efficient way to check in. We loved our stay and will definitely book again in the future. We recommend booking to anyone who wants a cozy night or week away. Emma provided every, toiletries, towels, bedding Had a problem with the oil burner but Emma was quick to respond and get fixed. It did mean we had to be out of the cottage as the smell was so powerful and eat breakfast out, which did prove expensive with 4 children 😟😁 Beautiful bathroom, powerful shower. Lovely cottage overall Have already recommended to a friend Would stay there again

Great apartment in the heart of Ashbourne. Plenty of shopping, drinking/dining and hiking in the area. Kitchen had everything we needed. The bedroom was quiet and dark, so we caught up on much needed sleep!
