Welcomed by Geraldine and her husband like friends, Geraldine had good communication with us prior to arrival and personally met us offering recommendations in the local area. The property is a beautiful listed building and inside is just as to be expected Geraldine’s little touches made our visit more personal the option of using the wood burning fire added to the romance of the surroundings . My children loved the fact Geraldine invited them to meet her dogs and we all wanted to stay longer. We spent two days at Alton Towers which is just 20mins away so ideal, the surrounding village and countryside is picturesque we saw large birds of prey as well as the more usual animals. We can recommend Geraldine and her husband along with their property I couldn’t imagine a better place to cosy up to the fire or go thrill seeking! The best of everything with the added bonus of wonderful hosts if I could give it more than five stars I would. Thank you Geraldine.

Emma was so lovely right from the time of booking, was able to give local recommendations and the cottage was perfect for me and my family - exactly what we wanted for the weekend to celebrate a big birthday. Pictures just don’t do it justice it was fantastic.

this ideallic little cottage was beautiful. very nice amenities and location wise it was perfect. a quite little pub/restaurant just a few doors down and only 17 minutes to Alton towers via a little country lane. there were 5 of us and the pullout bed allowed for this which was fine but I would say that this would be perfect for 4 people. The water pressure was great in the showers and we were very greatful of the two WC's. the kitchen had all the things we needed. if I had to offer anything for improvement it would be to permanently fix the little things and get rid of the gaffer tape dotted around but honestly it really wasn't an issue. all in all I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to spend some time in this area. perfect 👍🏻
