Monthly Rentals in Boot

We (2 adults, 2 children & 1 baby) stayed at Smithy Cottage for 5 nights over the new year. What a beautiful cottage that felt like a home from home.. Whole house was spotless, kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to make a decent meal, good supply of logs for the burner, shower was powerful, beds were comfy and the kids loved the cosy upstairs twin room over looking the living room. Really loved the dishwasher & washing machine as we’ve returned home with no washing at all!! Within the first night we knew we’d be back to stay again. It’s a very quiet & peaceful area with a lovely stream running down the back of the cottage. Madonna was away during our stay but still communicated very well and Anna was always on the other end of the phone for any questions that needed to be asked. Couldn’t have asked for a better end to the year at smithy cottage. Thank you Madonna for your hospitality, we can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful time at Soraya's house. The views are incredible and the location is perfect and easy to get to (just be mindful of your route if mountain roads aren't for you - satnav will take you that route - although they're great fun). The house is really cosy and great for our Halloween week where we were able to come in from the misty days by the lakes/mountains and enjoy the warm space and spooky movies. We even managed to have one trick-or-treater. The space is very well equipped and makes it easy to cook meals and enjoy being off-grid, I even managed to bake a loaf of bread. The beds were comfortable too and lovely to be able to light a fire. We drove to a co-op in Seascale which kept us topped up with food all week, but the local pub was very friendly too. Thanks so much Soraya, we'd definitely come back.

Jonathan was a great host. Very informative, helpful and friendly. Very nice, clean and private place to stay with everything we needed. So much to see and do close by and a lovely pub just down the road. Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area.

What a wonderful find! we escaped for two nights and this lovely cottage was just perfect in every way. We loved the log burner, the coffee and hot choc machines, the very, very comfy bed and great location for exploring this part of the Lakes. We'll be back, I'm sure.
