stayed with my wife and 2 children (11 &8 yrs) . House was beautiful, modern and tasteful in a lovely location, with plenty to do and see locally

Kathryn was proactive in sending local attractions and places to eat. She even sent over a list of takeaways who knew the location well. The cottage comes with an outstanding garden with so many beautiful flowers. Staying in the Spring meant we got to see all the colour of flowers pop all over. There was also a couple of outdoor seating areas all giving you a different view of the garden. A hot tub is situated in a secluded part of the garden and although we didn’t use it we did sit out to view the stars. The resident ducks in the garden were very cute and friendly. The kitchen has everything you need for any length stay and the complimentary coffee, tea & milk made arriving very welcoming as we couldn’t bring too much on the 4 hour drive. We stayed in Fence for 2 weeks and we cannot fault Kathryn’s hosting.

Well equipped. Small but really good bathroom. Lovely bedding. Good base for exploring Lancashire and Yorkshire.
