Holiday rentals with a pool in Carcassonne

We have just returned from 2 weeks here and we had a fantastic time! Iain is so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble! The house is ideal and perfectly matches the description! We had two dogs and the fully enclosed garden meant we could fully relax. We had a few days where we were unlucky with the weather so the heated pool was ideal and Iain was kind enough to make it slightly warmer for us! The house is so close to everywhere but still feels so private and quiet. We loved having the peace, but yet having everything we needed on the door step. We’d return in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at this stunning villa. It is set on a hillside overlooking the village and with wonderful views across the valley to the pyrenees beyond (although the winds in September made it feel a bit colder than the actual temperature was). The accommodation was super spacious with 3 double bedrooms (1 with ensuite), a comfy open-plan lounge, separate dining area and kitchen area. Outside is an unheated swimming pool, terrace area and covered (pergola) seating area with outside dining as well as a large gravelled parking area. The town of Lagrasse is beautiful and typically french, with several restaurants and pavement cafes as well as some small gift shops and patisserie. It is approx 45 minutes drive from Carcassonne. The overall feel is of a relaxed and peaceful holiday destination and an ideal place for unwinding with friends over a bottle or two of wine. Thanks Graham & Jeanne, we loved it

We are a family of 5, (kids age 12, 9 & 6) and we all loved Graham's place. The building is lovely and the view is stunning. It is very family friendly, Graham has thought of even the small details for little children. Graham is a very responsive host, and just at the other end of the phone eager to help. We loved walking around Graham's place, playing in the park, playing games of table tennis, swimming in the pool (which was heated), talking to the cats, particularly Bella who followed us around the first couple of days. Graham then pointed out another walk at his place down to the river past a tyre swing which we enjoyed. It really is an amazing place. We payed a visit to Gorge D'heric which is just wow. So beautiful. Went to the bakery in Riols a couple of times...definitely recommend. Had a couple of days out to Carcossone and the Millau Viaduct. Loved driving through the little French villages, they are very pretty. A great quiet and rural stay away from all the hustle and bustle

Great stay at this apartment! We were greeted by friends of the host who were very nice and warm. The apartment is very functional, with all the necessities. The decor is very nice, the bedrooms are spacious and the bedding is comfortable. Everything was clean upon arrival. The parking space is great, and we are close to the city (5 min drive). We highly recommend this place for a few nights or more! Thanks a lot ☺️

The house is in an excellent location. You can see the ramparts from one of the bedrooms and the living room. You can easily walk up to the castle, but it is also only a short walk to the newer part of Carcassonne, la Bastide. The house is clean, quiet and tastefully furnished. Lesa is very friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, etc. She responded quickly and left us little goodies in the kitchen. We highly recommend this airbnb for a stay in Carcassonne.

We were hosted very well, Catherine and her husband gave us good advice on the area, and we had a great time. The rental is well-equipped, quiet, and is a great starting point for many tours. The pool is just perfect!

We rented this cottage to spend the holidays with family and had a wonderful stay at Myriam's. Our expectations were exceeded and the place is even more charming than the pictures. We will keep a very fond memory of this first Christmas with the family.

We had a great summer vacation at Jan's place. With two families (four adults and four children) we stayed in Velieux for two weeks and it was lovely. The house is large and nicely decorated. A true family place. With beautiful weather, we were mainly outside. The pool is wonderful, with plenty of sunbeds and shade. And a diving board 😁 The "game room" was a hit to blow off steam with darts, billiards, ping pong or the gym. And all meals outside on one of the terraces. We explored the area extensively, there was so much to do. Nice towns like Beziers, Narbonne, Minerve and Carcassonne. Caves, a climbing park, nice sandy beaches. And a lot of wine! It's all a bit of a drive away, but the landscapes are beautiful, so driving is fine. In addition, it's vacation, so time is plenty of time. Jan and his wife are very helpful and have many tips for the surroundings. They live next to the house and are there when you need them. The kids were all away from them.
