Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Central Illinois

I used to live on Vandalia Lake, so I knew what to expect from the location - but the house is much nicer than pretty much anything else you'll find in Vandalia. It was the perfect place to spend the weekend while celebrating my granny's 82nd, and it's very likely we'll rent it again in the future, assuming it remains available for that purpose. The main living/kitchen/dining area is wide open and great for hanging out without feeling cramped, and the screened balcony/patio is a lovely place to enjoy the outdoors without being forced to "enjoy" the bugs. Everything is light, airy, modern, and well-maintained. This isn't one of those listings where the photos look great and the reality is worn and dirty - what you see is what you get.

Stevan’s place is a little bit out of town of Quincy, but it is really nice. The whole place was wonderful. We loved the huge living/dining room and the great kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were amazing. We were very thankful.

Doug and team were amazing and made our stay so great for Christmas. We were all in town to see my grandma for Christmas. Unfortunately she passed the day after we left but we created the best memories with family in this home. I’m sure this will become a tradition for our family now. Really unique home in a beautiful area just outside of Peoria.

This was a third stay here. Never disappoints to be the perfect place as our basecamp!

Our host was very responsive and helpful with any questions that wehad. The house is just as described very quiet, cozy and comfortable. I 100% recommend to anybody staying in the area.

If you are looking for something other than an hotel in terre haute, this is the place. Has a stocked kitchen and massage chair is great. Great place to stay for a weekend.

Fantastic experience start to finish. Tom was a great host sending correspondence from start to finish. Great place for 6 adults. 3 bathrooms were the best. Everything went as explained by Tom. Nice location right in town. We walked to dinner. We had a great stay. Nice to just sut and relax.

We stayed here with our 2 dogs on a cross country roadtrip. We needed somewhere near i80 and dog friendly. Hotels are a pain with 2 dogs so staying in Lisa’s Airbnb apartment was a nice change! Everything exactly as described. The best part was the dogs being able to use the fenced in backyard after a long day in the car. Also helpful there was already a metal crate as we crate one of our dogs at night who likes to pace :) also bonus there was tea coffee grounds and a coffee maker

Hi - I had to make a last minute trip to STL to care for my Mom and was so lucky that Jene Patrick and Tom could accommodate me. I have stayed at all their units many times and just love them (the hosts AND their properties). Always super clean and artfully designed. A nice touch is that they shoveled and put salt on the sidewalks and entrances to make sure guests had easy, safe access during sub-zero temps in STL this week. Many thanks as always!

This villa/cabin was an amazing getaway for a relaxing winter weekend!! So close to all the parks for great hiking. Having 2 full baths and a very spacious kitchen was ideal for 4 people. The home has a lot of natural light. The fireplaces and garden tub were perfect after a cold day of exploring. The area was very quiet and everyone we interacted with was friendly. Michael was responsive to all of our questions and made the process so easy for us. Highly recommend! We would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. Villa is spotless clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Owners are friendly, informative and available. We had the opportunity for our grandkids to interact with their children and it was wonderful. Very nice family!

Great spot to go with friends and family. They have a water park, arcade, mini golf, and an ice cream place. We had a fun time at this resort and would definitely do it again!

Clean, spacious, and cozy townhome with well stocked amenities. Felt like home! Very close to Starved Rock State Park with a trail head practically across the street. I would recommend this place to friends and family as a great place to stay when visiting Utica, Ottawa, or LaSalle.
