Monthly Rentals in Chungthang

This property is located around 30 minutes outside the city and is ideal for a quiet getaway. It is equipped with all the basic amenities. Since we went in February, it was a lil too cold for us plain dwellers. I wager that it would have been even better if we had come in the summers. The view from the stay is breathtaking. The caretaker, Passang is such an amazing cook and a wonderful host, she made us feel right at home. Only issue we found was the extra charges for the heater. Given the intense cold, it should be included in the basic amenities.

burpeepal cottage was the perfect place we were looking for. fantastic location, beautiful views, peaceful environment, excellent help from the caretakers and brilliantly friendly pets! the food cooked by Sukhi Didi and Laku bhaiya was homely and nice, kids had a great time playing outdoors in the garden! we had a lovely stay!

Staying at Michele's Airbnb was the highlight of our Gangtok trip! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family. Mr. Topden, with his incredible stories and Michele with her warm and cheerful personality, made every breakfast conversation a delight. The home was spotless, cozy and perfectly located. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Tenzing made amazing breakfast while snowy gave us great company during the breakfast. If you’re visiting Gangtok, staying with them is a must—it’s more than a stay; it’s an experience!

Though I could not meet Dorjee, but her brother Khesar was very helpful and responsive. Every night we used to eat together, sit and had a lot to talk about the place and other things. Nima cooked delicious food, and her daughter was such a sweetheart. They have a cafe, which I believe is run by Dorjee, but since we visited during off season, the cafe was not operational (may be next time we can have something from the cafe, as I heard from the locals the cafe serves some delicious baked items). Khesar, as a host was very responsible and kind. He even called me after we reached Gangtok from Lachung to check on us if we reached safely. Thank you, we had a lovely time at your place.
