Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Edinburgh

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our stay in Edinburgh. Di was friendly and helpful, and we felt very comfortable. The neighbourhood was amazing, and we had fun shopping and trying different restaurants. Easy access to the Royal Mile, and it was lovely to have a quiet spot to return to at the end of the day. Everything was perfect, and we are grateful we had the opportunity to stay at such a lovely location.

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. The converted stables were beautiful. Our family wanted an updated Scottish feel and this place was exactly that. Danni is the sweetest and was so helpful with everything. Highly recommend staying here!

Laura's place is superb with perfect amenities, squeaky clean and not too far from city centre which is easily accessible via nearby tram stop. She's extremely thoughtful providing for so many things one may need throughout the house. We loved the house, location and thoughtfulness behind providing so many things and tourism recommendations

Beautiful home. As soon as you walk in you feel like you are home. I had to switch accommodations due to availability and I am missing it already. Home is warm and quiet. Great neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

Just out of Edinburgh but great value in comparison to centre prices. Bus stop just outside. Everything you need, described accurately and Jamie’s communication is excellent.

Lovely flat with balcony and views across to Arthurs Seat. Had everything we needed and Slawomir provided coffee, toilet rolls and toiletries. Parking onsite and lift access to apartment. Slawomir was a great host, responsive and met us on arrival. Perfect space for the 4 of us.

The flat was warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was very well equipped. It is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk to vibrant Stockbridge, but not noisy. The hosts were easy to contact and very helpful. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

We loved this apartment. It was warm, cosy, comfortable and very colourful. It was perfect for us, we felt right at home there. Ross had left for us things that make a living space a home. Toiletries, condiments etc. he was there when we arrived and had taken our shopping delivery in. He is kind and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay, including local restaurants etc

Spot on location. No issues with off street parking and within 5 minutes walking distance of the tram, straight into Princess Street. Nice, clean flat with everything that I needed for our long weekend during rugby 6 nations. Have marked up as an Airbnb ‘favourite’ .

Richard’s flat was perfect in every way. Comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet, stocked with anything you might need and more. We all slept incredibly well. He even provided some breakfast items so we could easily get started with our days of touring. He greeted us, showed us how everything in the flat worked and gave lots of local recommendations. Highly recommend this rental in the heart of old town- with a beautiful historical garden out back. Thank you Richard!!

This is an exceptional location. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean with a very recently updated kitchen. The bedroom looks out onto an absolutely stunning courtyard. The location is walkable to all the highlights of Edinburgh, but also far enough away that you’re in a quiet residential area so that you get a good nights sleep and are ready to go again the next day. There are a lot of restaurants that are walkable as well as grocery stores. Donna was responsive and easy to work with. I can’t recommend this rental highly enough.

Fabulous location close to the city centre, but still with free on street parking available nearby. Close access to the Water of Leith Walkway, and great public transport passes the apartment.

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

We loved the location, the place was spacious for a party of four and we were very happy with everything supplied and quick responses.

Comfortable stay in Haymarket Edinburgh. Easy accessible to the city center and. Clear instructions given for check in and check out. Met the host during the check in and the host is very kind and helpful. The stay is at 4th floor. Quiet and clean stay. Love it !

A cosy, clean apartment right in the heart of the old city centre. Perfect if you are visiting without a car. Communication with Jana was friendly and uncomplicated. If we come back to Edinburgh definitely we’ll book again.

this was my friends first time in edinburgh and it was the perfect location for walking and for driving. although the right block was hard to find a first as soon as we made it in we felt right at home and ended up leaving our car parked the whole time. the place was perfect and the blankets were greatly appreciated. only things we would note is we couldn’t manage to use the controllers to work the tv (could just be us haha) and if you are ordering food drivers have real trouble finding the building. thank u sue for letting us stay❤️

Kasia was great. She was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us round. She also let us have a late check out on Sunday as no one else was coming in so we could leave our bags at the apartment during the morning. The apartment was lovely - very spacious and well equipped. Beds were all very comfortable. It was in a great location and well equipped We could walk to most of the places we wanted to see on Princes Street and the New Town.
