This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

Kings Cottage was perfect for our quick lil family get away. It had everything we needed & more. Relaxing location with a generous balcony to relax in the afternoon weather. Highly recommend this location & the hosts were amazing.

absolutely beautiful nerida and mark were awesome with communication and made me and my family feel right at home it was quite and beautiful will for sure stay here again in a hart beat my kids had a wonderful time exploring the property as well
