We had a lovely stay, we were greeted by Jonathan and had a nice chat, on entering the cottage it was warm due to underfloor heating. On arrival there was a delightful cream tea which was a lovely touch from Johnathan and Susannah. The cottage was spacious and spotlessly clean, everything had been thought out for a visitors convenience. There are beautiful views all around and is very private. The walk to the river was beautiful and we spotted some wildlife which is always welcome, nice to know that the farm is organic and that it's well kept and loved throughout the family. Very pretty area and very good local pubs and shops. We were very pleased to find Henry Williamson's resting place in Georgeham's church (Tarka the Otter novel) that was indeed very special. We had a second very comfortable stay.The nights were below freezing , but the cottage was warm and cosy from arrival. Highly recommend Prospect Cottage , it’s in a lovely village with the wonderful Bell inn a few steps away.

We really enjoyed our full week of staying and exploring county Devon here. There is even lovely little hiking opportunities through the nearby fields and hills along rivers and sheep paddocks when following the local public footpaths next to the house.
