You have a full length mirror and hairdryer, bedside tables with lamps for those cosy reads, USBs points (no fighting with a plug both sides) and both blinds and curtains for the deep sleep that arrives after a day of fresh sea air.
* The full sized double bed with additional single bunk-bed above (suitable for children 6 years +), provides maximum sleeping flexibility and with both blinds AND curtains, solid sleep is invited. The drawers and hanging space help to keep everything off the floor and ship-shape.
* Sleeps 5, plus an infant
🚘🚘*You have free private parking for two cars on the doorstep, so go straight on in and pop on the kettle as soon as you reach Camber - Let the holiday begin!

Your stress-free base for a beautiful beach holiday where you can pop back and forth all day-long, wander to Iconic Rye or explore 1066 country's historic sites, vineyards, steam railway, fine-dining, cobbled streets and fabulous walking and cycling paths.
Rye is a lovely, flat 3-mile walk through the marsh fields, along the maintained cycle path and Hastings and Brighton offer a great day trip by car or train.
There is a travel cot for under 2s, please bring your cot-bedding. You also have a high-chair.
The patio garden can also be reached through the side-gate, with easy access to the outside tap for sandy toes and the patio-doors for bicycles.
The house is 678 ft².
We allow up to four small to medium dogs for free (but please note that we would not recommend both the maximum number of guests and the maximum number of dogs, as this would likely make for a too-cosy a holiday home!) but rules apply. Dogs are not allowed upstairs at any time and guests are asked to bring throws /dog bedding to protect the cream sofas.
The beach is all dog-friendly October- April and the middle section (see the map in our Guest Guide) is dog-free from 1 May-30 September, so guests need to walk a little further (a few minutes) for doggy zoomies.
Whilst Beach Retreat welcomes children and dogs, it is not child/dog proof (for example there is no stair gate indoors and there are steps in the garden) so constant supervision is required.
Requests for the super-king to be split into 2 singles must be made at the time of booking please, otherwise an additional fee will be charged, if an extra visit with bedding etc is necessary
Christmas decor is available with sufficient notice.

Your 2 private car parking spaces are right at the front door, making unloading and parking stress-free.
Check-in will usually be by lock-box, so you can pop the kettle on as soon as you arrive.

Two dog-friendly restaurants/bar/grills within a dozen doors makes eating out easy, or you can walk 8 minutes for the world famous Gallivant (regularly receiving fantastic reviews from the Guardian, think fine- food, cocktails and oysters) or pop down to the beach cafes for ice-cream, hot, crispy churros and full dining.
Rye is a lovely, mainly traffic-free and flat 3-mile walk or an 8-minute drive (but note that the roads become very busy when the sun shines), so exploring the iconic cobblestones, quirky streets and independent shops is easy.
If you are cycling or walking then you have the King Charles III Coastal walk and the National Cycling Route 2 to choose from, with a hot shower and cosy bed after a day or sea air.
