Holiday rentals with beach access in Hawaii County

Excellent location in Ali’li drive near magicsands beach . 3 minutes to walk to the beach. Everything we needed for our two days over Christmas was there. Rebecca was super helpful with information.

We really enjoyed staying here. The place is very spacious and well appointed. It worked well as a jumping off point for Puna sight seeing as well as just chilling on the lanai. The beach across the street (one of the only swim friendly beaches in the area) was convenient and the breeze and views from the second floor unit lanai were great. Scott was friendly, provided good recommendations and responded to communication quickly. He’s also quite easygoing and nothing is complicated. The place was close (in between) to the 2018 lava flow sites. Having seen the volcano erupting a few days earlier, it was quite something to see up close the magnitude and power of Pele and how the landscape is actively changing due to volcanic activity. Recommend as a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Wow what a view! We drank our Kona coffee every morning on balcony & spotted whales. One morning we stopped counting at 60! We did a whale watch that day at 1pm & boat stopped & captain said this is where the whales are. Had to laugh as boat literally stopped in front of condo!!! View is great. Condo is in good location. Easy to find. Bed was comfortable & clean quiet space. We enjoyed watching eels, crabs & fish in front of condo. In addition to whales saw a few pods of dolphins feeding

We loved Kathy’s place. It was cozy and just the right size for the two of us. The bed was comfy and we had everything we could possibly need for the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and beach. Kathy even provided binoculars for whale viewing! The place was easy to find with Kathy’s detailed directions and Kathy was very responsive and communicative. We look forward to staying at Kathy’s place the next time we visit the big island!

Great place to stay and it has everything you need from cooking to beach day Very responsive host and very helpful 15 min -20 min ( because of traffic with local speed limit 15 miles/ hour) about to get to main grocery store like Costco Walmart etc But nicely located in middle of major attractions

Apartment was clean and bed was comfortable. It is a small place and might need some updating. Pool has great ocean/sunset views. Parking was directly outside door. Patio was great.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment was so spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. We loved watching the horses from the lanai and having Buddy the dog greet us everyday when we arrived back. We felt like we had the best spot on the island to watch the sunset. The sounds of the coqui frogs at sunset was absolutely amazing and so relaxing to fall asleep to. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for self catering and it was really helpful having some things in the cupboards like spices, oil, syrup, etc. We were so sorry when it was time for us to leave!

Absolutely loved staying at Bailey’s place in Puako. It was so tranquil and gorgeous with the sound of the ocean at night and the amazing birds in the morning. The unit was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We were 3 people - our teenage son slept on the pull out couch in the living room - you do have to walk through the bedroom to access the bathroom. This was fine for us. I loved the screen porch!! Bailey left so much info that helped us and was responsive to any request. We would happily come back here again.

We could not have wished for a more perfect home for our top short stay. We wanted to stay there months and months longer if possible. The house was very well stocked and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The view of the most perfect cove is just a gem to wake up to everyday. We could snorkel and surf right in front of the home. There’s an awesome poke place within walking distance. This home is perfect.

Completely unique home with beautiful Balinese artifacts everywhere, gorgeous wooden carved chairs, tables, oriental rugs. Incredible wall maps, prints, artwork. All in open breezy surroundings, modern fully stocked kitchen and beautiful huge swank baths (loved the Polynesian drums!). Many to omy places to stretch out or eat. Was really hard to leave it each day to visit the island’s many attractions, including a volcano eruption that happened just as we arrived! Thanks for this lovely experience.

Great place to stay way from all the noise of Kona. Woke up every morning to birds singing. Beautiful view of the ocean from the back porch, saw whales close to the beach. Overall, the home was as advertised and was worth the cost. It was more home than my wife and I needed for this trip, and could comfortable support three couples if desired. The host was responsive to our messages and very friendly. I plan on staying here again if given the opportunity.

Beautiful home. As mentioned it is in a busy/somewhat industrial area, but it still manages to be very serene. We appreciated how well appointed it was - especially the kitchen - plus the provided beach towels, snorkel, beach chairs, and even shampoo etc in the showers. The lenai is a dreamy place for coffee or a meal. It’s also quite walkable to some good restaurants nearby and Hilo town is walking distance too. Kaleo was kind and responsive, we would stay here if we find ourselves in Hilo again.

We very much enjoyed our stay here with Jason, Amanda, and Barbie very helpful hosts. We did run into a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved (& outside of the owners control). We appreciate how proactive the team was to respond. The best part of the place is how it felt like at home and abundance of space on the patio for our toddler and for us to enjoy. Walking to the beach was only 5 mins and we found we had more than enough of what we needed with some of the stuff that was supplied for beach time etc. Amanda did a great job of providing local restaurant recommendations and other activities to consider doing while there. Overall, thank you for the great stay and would be recommending it to other friends & family!

Nikki's place was exactly what we hoped for when booking the location for two young families. We spent hours on the beautiful porches, afternoons BBQ'ing on the pool deck and endless games of pickleball, fooseball and ping pong. The walkable proximity to Magics sands as well as the beach shack restaurant and bar and grill were added bonuses. The layout was great to split between two families, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well thoughtout. Would highly recommend!

I want to live here. I wish I could snap my fingers, instantly sell all my possessions, and find myself with the keys and deed to this place. And I only rented out the top half! The only problem with this listing is that I found myself unable to leave because it was so cozy and peaceful. I have never relaxed like I did at this retreat before in my life. I felt like my circadian rhythm completely reset, as it felt easy and natural to go to sleep and wake up with the sun. The rainwater showers, indoor and outdoor, were rejuvenating and my hair and skin felt amazing after just a couple days. I didn’t watch a moment of TV and hardly touched my phone or tablet. Instead I napped on the hammock, walked around the neighborhood (often stopping at the black sand beach), and stargazed (amazing viewing conditions each night) on the rooftop deck on the loungers. I am sure no one is no longer reading this review, as it is too long. Just book this place! Mahalo to the amazing hosts as well!

Our family , consisting of three generations, had a marvelous time at this private and pristine property. The house is very clean with lots of room to move around. The outdoor area is beautifully landscaped and we spent the majority of our time enjoying the pool and eating on the lanai. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We loved the people and vibe on the Big Island! 🏝️

...to plagiarize a comment I saw stated in another review: stop looking and book this place! This is the one! A+++ If you have found this option based on the criteria you think you need, there is likely no better place. The location is ideal. The view of the ocean & pool is incredible--the mesmerizing surf and scenery cannot be matched. A special note: This home provides three of the most comfortable beds that might exist within the Hawaiian Islands. Also--the front foyer is chock full of everything you need for beach fun... EVERYTHING...which was so helpful and reduced expense significantly. The efforts made by the host are very notable and appreciated. (I dig air conditioning--this place has it and it works wonderfully.) We hope to return to the Big Island and if we do this will be the first place we consider to stay again. This condo is close enough to anything and far enough away from everything--it will suit anyone...and really is a perfect vacation home. Mahalo!🤙😎

Terry has done it again! This was our second year staying at Terry’s well equipped and beautiful condo. Again we enjoyed daily whale watching right on the beach as well as sea turtles feeding on the shoreline. You will be in need of nothing at Terry’s hideaway as he has truly thought of every guests’ needs. In fact Terry reached out to us prior to our arrival offering to pick up anything we needed as we had a late flight. Our flight going home didn’t leave until late at night and Terry allowed us to check out late as well! Mahalo again Terry. Stay blessed 🌺😌

We just love the location. Nice view of the ocean and beach and we love the pool and hot tub too. Great 55+ community that meets every night to watch sunset. Easy Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Marc is very responsive and friendly.

Can't say enough good things about the experience. The view is spectacular. We LOVED watching the skilled surfers from our lanai everyday. Falling asleep to the sound of the surf was heaven. The decorating in the unit is just lovely. Christie responded to questions within an hour. We hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you, Christie.

We had a great stay here. Absolutely beautiful view from the unit over the ocean with gorgeous sunsets. Easy, short drive to Kona for restaurants and other shopping needs. Well equipped kitchen and easy parking. Only minor issue was there were no shades to block the late afternoon sun in the unit. We'd happily stay here again.

Kelly's place was a great spot in Kona. The condo was exactly as listed and had easy check in with a provided code. There was a quick snafu with check in that was quickly resolved by Kelly's responsiveness. The sand/pool area was a wonderful place for sunset and tide pool viewing. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to rent again from Marco. The condo was well equipped for cooking and relaxing. There were only two of us so we couldn't comment on the sleeper sofa. The washer and dryer were convenient and worked well. Marco always responded quickly to our questions and concerns. The views out to the pool and shore were excellent.

Lovely condo and really couldn’t have been better for my wife daughter and I. Great location and the place had everything we needed.
