Private Spa Oasis with 2 Cabins

BrieanaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, "almost" off grid with the comfort of electricity and drinkable/hot running water this place is IT. Perfect for a pair of couples, a couple with a "third wheel", or parents with older kids these side-by-side cabins were an excellent way for us to stay together, but with our own separate spaces. The hot tub is large and comfy and with the outdoor covered area and t.v. made for some very relaxing evenings. The hosts went above and beyond with some great little welcoming touches - we arrived to all of the fans on, hot tub partially uncovered, a bottle of wine on the outdoor counter, and all of the t.v.s playing some relaxing hawaiin music. If you haven't been fortunate enough to meet a coqui frogs face to face yet you will definitely make friends with them here! A couple of them have a favorite spot under the lights of the outdoor shower. Be prepared for some wet and cool weather on this side of the island

As Seen on HGTV: Halé Sweet Halé (2mi from VNP)

AngelicaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Such a gem nestled in so much greenery. Our check in was so smooth and easy. Our host made us feel welcomed. The road leading up to the house is a bit bumpy/muddy due to rain, glad we rented a jeep which made it easier to drive through. House has everything we needed to cook. There was a jacuzzi that sadly we did not have time to use. If you want to stay in a cabin like house away from others, this is perfect for that.

tiny home 6- w/private Hot tub near National Park

NathalieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place was great! Really was just like the Airbnb description. Including the outdoor bathroom! Just keep in mind how cold it gets in Mountain View and how midnight bathroom runs might go! Enjoyed being in the rainforest, middle of nowhere, quiet!!

Tropical Spa Getaway Cabin 1

GinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you are going to be in this side of the Big Island this airbnb is a must! Love the place!! I wish we would have stayed longer! First of all what a paradise, very cute and clean. Love the outdoor shower and of course all the amenities. I personally enjoyed walking up in the morning have a cup of coffee in the porch and at night returning from all our sightseeing and enjoy the hot tub while listening to the frogs and the birds outside. Our host was very proactive and return a message promptly even though I was not expecting it. Thank you for everything!

Great place, very close to the park entrance- a little off the grid, but plenty of heaters and blankets and a great base camp. Gary was very responsive and helpful

Mermaid Lair w/Rainforest Shower!

AlexanderRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a wonderful place to stay. One of my favorite areas on the Big Island- not too cool, not too warm. Fall asleep to the sound of the frogs and crickets, wake to the sound of birds and bugs. Dawn is very helpful and kind. She’s put a lot of thought and care into this oasis. This place is a treat so treat it well in kind.

Butterfly Cabin

NicoleRating, 5 stars97 months ago
This place is pure magic. It feels like living in a rustic but comfortable treehouse in the jungle. We did yoga on the deck every morning and watched the sunrise over the jungle with the ocean in the distance. So peaceful. The sounds of the coqui frogs, birds, and various wildlife were simply enchanting. I really felt connected to nature here and was able to slow down. I also loved the outdoor shower and toilet. One note would be that the kitchen is often busy with the volunteers who live on the farm so while it is easy to store your food in the fridge, I felt that if I cooked a full meal, I might be a bit in the way. Everyone was good-vibed and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Hope to return.

Studio Ohana Cabin Retreat

MartinRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Unique property you feel comfortable but in the jungle at the same time. The Jeep 4WD is a must for the road, but it will be useful around the island to go beyond the normal tourist places. Forget holiday resorts and cities, this is real escape holiday destination. Great place, great value thanks for letting us stay in your place. :-)

Secluded Bamboo Cabin on Sacred Healing Land

BobRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Great experience and very friendly host and neighbors. This bamboo hut is welcome to everyone who wants a retreat or living far away from the network. There is even a sanctuary room for meditation. However, when i lived there, there was a hurricane. So it's kind of scary to hear the strong wind blowing the jungle and trees/leaves hitting the rooftop.

Makoa Kabin

A great peaceful place in Fern Forest on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. Love how peaceful and wonderful the wildlife was such as birds, frogs and chicken surroundings the property. The property was also was surrounded by beautiful vegeation. The host was very responsive to replacing the broken TV and address the wire that fell in front of gate during a windynight. Highly recommend the property to the people visiting the Hawaii Island.

Horses and Waterfalls

BethRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We loved our time at this cabin! Our host was on site and extremely helpful with a tour of the place and how things worked. We had fantastic weather with sunny mornings. The waterfalls were flowing but not extremely high. Our highlight was exploring the creek. Wearing wetsuits made it so we could spend all day in the cooler water. There was a nice play area and plenty of room for our children to run around outside. So tips for future renters would be to only bring food to cook on the propane stove top (in pots and pans that are provided there). We had brought 2 meals to cook in the toaster oven which needs the generator to be turned on and this took longer to bake. You may also want to bring a headlamp or flashlight as there is only overhead lighting that was not bright enough for reading at night. Kitchen cleanliness is very important to the host. We were told that if it was not exactly as we found it at checkin, that they would take it from our deposit. We took extra time to clean.

RomanticTropical Cottage-OceanView

ThomasRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Stunning cottage in a picturesque spot on the Kona coast. Everything was as described and more! The cottage has all the odds and ends that home would have (i.e. Tupperware to hold your freshly cut pineapple, a clothesline and clothespins to hang your wet beachwear, solar lights that light up all pathways at night) and makes vacation so much more enjoyable. My wife and I loved the fantastic snorkeling just minutes away each morning, reading in the mango hut, and soaking in the amazing views. Harry was a wonderful host and genuinely cares about his guests’ experience visiting the Big Island and his cottage. Can’t wait to visit again.

Lovely cabin minutes from Volcanoes National Park.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an incredible stay at Robin's cabin. If possible, it is even better than the pictures. It is the perfect setting as a base camp to Volcanoes National Park- just a few easy minutes away. The hosts thought of absolutely everything. The English muffins, butter, and jam were so thoughtful, and the coffee was delicious! My son wanted to move in. I can't say enough good things. We had such a great trip to Volcano (with quite the eruption happening at the park while we were there!) and Robin's cabin truly added to the whole experience. We have moved on to the next leg of our trip, and I miss the cabin. Mahalo!

What an amazing location! The cottage had everything you need and was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Big Island. The pool is facing west where you can view breathtaking sunsets every evening. Debi and Bob were perfect hosts and I will certainly book again the next time I visit Hawaii.

"We loved this romantic getaway for two!"

AnjaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is the most beautiful place of the world🌺 Jeffrey and Heide are the best hosts 💕 we were so happy in Koa Cabin and this Garden Eden. Jeffrey and Heide created a little peace of heaven. If you like fantastic nature and animals, this is your place! If you like peace and time for yourselve in nature, to connect yourselve with your heart and soul, you will be absolutely happy here. And also it is a perfect place to discover the Island. In reality it is much more beautiful then you can imagine from the pics you see here. Coqui frogs concert in the nigt, birds at day-time. Visit from dogs and cats 🤗 we loved it sooooo much! It was not easy to leave this time, and when we come back to big iland. We know where we stay🤗💕🌺 Thank you Jeffrey and Heide to share this special place with the world. We looking forward to come back💕

This is such a tranquil and relaxing space on a beautiful part of Big Island. So close to the Volcano National Park and Hilo. The town of Volcano has some good eats and a fun art gallery. The accommodations so chill, well thought out, and just feels peaceful. You just need to be mindful of taking your own supplies of food and water from somewhere bigger like Hilo when coming here.

Artistic Cabin In the Forest

ElisabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place is an absolute gem! We loved the charming artistic touches (natural wood construction, art on the walls, beautiful fabric curtains), and the kids got a kick out of sleeping in the loft. The lanai and garden/forest area outside were beautiful as well. Very private and rural-feeling, but a fun restaurant (Kaleo's) and food stands are just a few minutes away. If we ever find ourselves back on the Big Island, we would go out of our way to stay here again!
