Luxury rentals in Hawaii

We found this home on Airbnb and thought the pictures and description made it look great. Unfortunately, there were no reviews so we were pretty worried-especially given the price tag. After sending some emails and doing a bit of background research we crossed our fingers and booked. I’m SO glad we did. The house was fantastic. It’s in a serene neighborhood, overlooking a golf course, walking distance to a shopping area with restaurants and fun stores, and perfectly appointed down to the well-stocked kitchen. We were thrilled. There was an issue with the fridge that was mostly fixed before we arrived. Communication with the Luxus team was friendly and seamless. All in all, I give the home 5 stars!

Absolutely beautiful place! It really is just like the photos. We were able to whale watch from our balcony and saw many. We would definitely stay here again.

This house is absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of space, beautiful modern bathrooms & kitchen. The bathrooms were well stocked with high end products & lots of towels. The kitchen had everything you’d need as well as staples for cooking. There was lots of beach toys & the kids used the boogie boards & pool toys every day. The house is so high tech we needed help figuring out the locking system & the light switches.! The stacking glass doors let us bring the outdoors inside. Marissa was extremely helpful when we had questions & responded immediately. We visited many of the favorite restaurants listed in the welcome book and they were great. It was so helpful to have such detailed recommendations for the area. We already miss the sound of the waves & this was a very special experience for our family. We had a wonderful visit & highly recommend this home.

We were rolling big on this vacation with 14 of us. The house was absolutely perfect due to the 8 bedrooms. The main living space was open, bright and calming. The outdoor spaces were inviting, the view was insanely beautiful and the pool/hot tub were a big hit! The outdoor showers were amazing - wish we had one back home. We would stay there again! Would recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting to stay in the Kona area. Overall 5 star stunning home.

What an incredible stay at Michael’s beautiful home. We were in heaven the entire week and took full advantage of the space both inside and outside. Although it was just us two, this place could have easily slept 8 and everyone would have had plenty of space. The house had all that we dreamed and more. Thank you for an amazing week.

Hale Ama is an amazing, first-class property. This isn't just an ordinary/impersonal feeling rental; it's a gorgeous, well-decorated, high-end but comfortable custom home filled with thoughtful details, and it is clearly loved and well-cared for by it's owner. The views and ocean-front setting are breathtaking. My kids and I wandered around on the lava rocks directly behind the house each evening to watch sea turtles feeding just feet away from us. The whole house can be opened up with big folding glass doors and windows throughout, and amazingly, there were no bugs -- just breezes and the sound of waves. Beautiful beaches for swimming, lounging, and snorkeling just 5-10 minutes away. House came with kayaks, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, and water shoes. Kitchen was well appointed and easy to cook meals in. From my 8 year old daughter to my 77 year old father in law, we all fell in love with the house and yard. We would all love to come back!

I cannot say enough about Jodie, she is very responsive, helpful, kind, and one of the best hosts I’ve had. The house was just as amazing as her with breathtaking views, comfortable beds and everything you could ask for amenity wise. We will definitely be staying here again when we return!

Kahieluana is a magnificent home, every bit as elegant and well situated as it appears in the photographs. We had a large family group of ten adults and the property worked extremely well for us. Overall, the home was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and entertaining. The large kitchen/dining and pool/lanai areas provided ample opportunities to congregate, but there was also plenty of space for everyone to find some quiet when they needed it! The house was very clean and fitted with many smart home conveniences, as well as a sonos sound system. The bedrooms were of ample size and the beds were very comfortable. Our family had a lot of fun with all of the sporting options available at the house: tennis, pool table, volleyball, paddleboarding & snorkeling etc. We swam quite a bit in beautiful Puako bay amidst many beautiful reef fish and numerous turtles. There is a dive company (blue wilderness) that operates out of the boat ramp adjacent to the house and they were fantastic. We did three dives with them plus a nighttime manta ray snorkel session and they were excellent. The beach at the house is not ideal for lounging, however, there are a number of wonderful sandy beaches very close to the house, including Hapuna and beach 69. Alternatively, you can drive the short distance to one of the resorts such as Mauna Kea or Mauna Lani where there are also excellent sandy beaches, restaurants and shopping available. Puako bay is fairly quiet and does not have the amenities that you'd find in one of the resorts, however, we found that to be a plus. Andy, Kim and house manager Leah were fantastic - always responsive and helpful. We'd recommend this place to anyone.
