Cottage holiday rentals in Innerleithen

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. The accommodation was really lovely, warm and comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed the walks from the door and Melrose was wonderful. The lemon drizzle cake, wine, flowers and milk were very kind.

Had a lovely stay in this property and location met our needs perfectly . Hot tub was worth paying a bit extra for . Flat would be ideal for a larger group as the rooms are very spacious and well equipped . Only comment would be that some information on car parking would be helpful for those not familiar with the area . We were unaware of the existence of a garage until after check in . I knew where to park without charge in Melrose but it would be helpful to provide this information to other guests . Thank you for our stay . I would definitely recommend to others .

Wonderful stay. The location is absolutely superb. What amazing views and so peaceful and remote. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the hills was pure bliss!! And the stars you could see on a clear night, wow. Despite being so remote it’s close enough to Edinburgh that you can drive in and do all the attractions. So just perfect. Kylie was a fab host too, leaving Easter eggs for the kids and letting the kids feed her kunekune pig one day! The animals are great, especially Karen then hen, although she will come inside if allowed haha! All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Kylie

We had a wonderful stay and Maureen was very helpful and responsive to messages. The cottage is representative of the pictures with lots of little nice touches. Thank you I’m sure we will be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pentland Pod. The pod was very clean and well equipped. Hazel and Jim are fabulous hosts. It felt like staying with family friends. They made sure to give us lots of recommendations of things to visit in the area. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back in the future.

We had the best time, the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful and the cottage itself was perfect for a romantic getaway! Our dog had a great time as well!

Alice and Paul were incredibly welcoming. Alice provided us with several suggestions of local things to do and see, as well as information on bus schedules and when/where to shop for food (as there is hardly anywhere nearby the accommodation to shop). The host also lent us their E-Bikes to help get around and explore, which was splendid, and a surprising delight! Would 100% recommend this BnB to anyone looking for a brief, peaceful respite.

We’re a group of 5 adults and 2 cocker spaniels and have just returned from a lovely short stay at Pondfield Cottage, Gifford. The cottage was immaculately clean with 3 large double bedrooms and a lovely enclosed garden for the dogs to play in. The lounge was comfortable and cosy with a wood burning stove and a selection of DVDs, books and board games. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need with some lovely little unexpected touches like a spice rack. The location of the cottage is next door to an equine centre and horses are regularly walked past the house which was lovely to see. One small issue we experienced was resolved immediately, even though it was Easter Sunday, which demonstrated exceptional service from the owner. We would certainly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed Kirsty’s place very comfortable, had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Would happily recommend this property for families, sleeps 5-7, spacious lounge with a well appointed kitchen. Kirsty was easy to communicate with and prompt with her responses.

We had a lovely stay over the Easter weekend. The location is quiet but with lots to do. This house itself was immaculate, well equipped and just as described. We found the booklet with all the suggestions and instructions really useful too. Would definitely stay again.

We had a very restful and relaxing stay at Jo's house for three weeks. The farm is in a stunning location with lots of beautiful walks from the door and lots to see in the locality with a host of good recommendations in the information pack supplied by Jo. The house was comfortable and had pretty much all one might need for longer stay. The weather was glorious throughout our stay which was very welcomed.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Bothy. The location was perfect—so tranquil and peaceful, yet just a quick 6-minute drive from the charming town of Moffat. It really offered the best of both worlds: serene countryside vibes with easy access to local amenities. The Bothy itself was spotless, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining it. Everything was immaculate and well-organised, making our stay feel comfortable and stress-free. Karen has gone above and beyond by putting together a fantastic local information pack, which was incredibly helpful for exploring the area. It’s these thoughtful touches that make such a difference! And let’s talk about the bed, wow, it was unbelievably comfortable. After long days of exploring, and then relaxing with a few hlasses of wine in front of the wonderful log burner, it was such a treat to sink into it and enjoy a restful night’s sleep. The Bothy is a hidden gem that we highly recommend.

Ruth was the perfect host, helpful from the moment we booked, right through to the holiday itself. The Bothy is exactly as it looks in the photos, homely and cosy. The surrounding area is amazing if you have kids who love to explore or just to get out with the dogs, it’s perfect and just what we wanted. Lots to do near by and lots of nice places to eat etc. day trips to Edinburgh etc are close by. We loved our stay with Ruth and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, peaceful break

Highly Recommend! Beautiful, well equipped cottage. It has been renovated to a very high standard. Kate, was an excellent host and very responsive. In the middle of a working sheep farm, sheep everywhere, so you must be able to control your dogs at all times. A beautiful break away from Wifi, phones and people. All shops about 16/18 miles away. A lovely place to reconnect and recharge. Thank you for having us, would love to come back soon ☺️

We booked this last minute to use as a base. It’s a perfect bolt hole after busy days doing family stuff. We had strong winds and rain, it was nice watching from the cottage. The windows and views in the living space are something else. We can not fault Susan, the cottage was immaculately clean, with all the stuff we needed. Thank you for making a difficult time more bearable.

We had a lovely stay at Bairnkine, thanks Lucy. The house was great for us, the boys loved the pool table and we enjoyed using the tennis court. Thankyou for the flapjack on arrival and also for the really interesting farm tour. It was such a beautiful area to discover. We'll hopefully come again to explore more another time, Kelley

Had a wonderful 2 week stay at Wood Cottage. The location was perfect, surrounded by hills and very peaceful. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The garden was beautiful and home to local wildlife, which was lovely.

The cottage is lovely and in such a tranquil location. Accessible to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It was immaculately clean and very cosy. Just what we needed.

we really loved our stay , great location we hired a car and visited loads of places. arrived to a lovely welcome card, fresh fruit and bottle of wine, great touch. 26 acres of land to walk around with great views. our son loved it, didn't want to come home. would highly recommend it! .

Kerry helped us out massively when another Airbnb host cancelled at the last minute. She was very responsive and got her property ready for us super quick. The property is beautiful and we can’t praise Kerry enough

Lovely accommodation with a lot of privacy .It was a good location to attend a wedding in nearby Cornhill Castle. Spotless and homely little cottage with all you need. Log burner gives it very cosy feel .It was warmer than expected and sunny during our stay. Alison responded to messages with a speed of light;) In fact we are considering booking again to visit Edinburgh later this year.
