We had an excellent stay at Lochinver at Portside, The Mizzen. The property is well cared for, very clean, has a great view, and great hosts. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Calum’s place for one night and it was perfect. Very quiet location and a quick walk to the beach which was beautiful. The place was very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of items to cook your own meals. Bed was comfortable and great shower pressure. Outside the back were lots of sheep. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

What a wonderful week! I went to Culkein/Assynt for the express purpose of getting away from the overwhelming excesses of London life, and I succeeded, thanks in no small part to Karen and Iain’s pod. The pod is beautifully situated with an uninterrupted view of the coast, waves breaking over rocks, fields of sheep. The place is easy to locate, and Karen was proactive in providing easy-to-follow directions. The pod itself has everything you’d want or need and is extremely comfortable. Culkein is a great location if you’re looking to hike nearby Suilven, go on walks or just relax on the deck and stare out to the sea. I have nothing but high recommendations based on my experience, and I have every intention of returning to the region - it’s stunning.

Wonderful cabin! it had everything we needed after being on the road for a few days. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings! We wished we could have stayed longer or even relaxed a little longer in the area. Would definitely recommend this location and would book again in the future!
