Monthly Rentals in Island Grove

It was a perfect place for my 6-week stay while in training with my horse. The barn where I trained was only 10 minutes away. 25 minutes to Ocala Tack Shack. Comfortable and just right for one person or a couple and so the price was affordable for me. The kitchen was small but mighty-efficiently used space and all the utensils etc I needed to cook which I did nearly every night. Much better than other places I’ve stayed with a large kitchen. The rooms were heated/cooled with mini-split heat pumps which work great and are quiet. Excellent TV with a comfy couch in the living room and Wi-Fi for doing computer work. I got to know the woman who lived in the back half of the house and had some delightful conversations with her about our shared interest in horses.

We enjoyed feeding the animals. We brought apples and carrots for them. The baby goats are adorable, and Highland cows and donkeys and ponies! We rented a slip for our bass boat at Sportsmans Cove nearby. The fishing was not very good maybe due to time of year, but we caught a few small bass. The hydrilla is thick throughout Orange Lake. The Airbnb had a comfortable bed. We requested an additional portable heater because the one heater wasn't enough for both rooms, and it was immediately provided. . The induction stove has only one burner, but there is also a crock pot and an air fryer and outdoor grill. As other reviews stated, the dogs do bark in the mornings at times, and roosters crow very early. We used ear plugs at night which helped us to sleep. Don't miss the huge old Live Oak in their front yard that's hundreds of years old!

I had a fantastic experience during my stay. The rooms were thoughtfully arranged and quite spacious. I would surely return in the future.

What a wonderful location! My 15 yr old son and I had a long father/son weekend during his spring break fishing at Orange Lake. This place was perfect. Quiet, peaceful in the middle of horse country apparently. We enjoyed sitting outside at night listening to the wildlife, looking at the stars and pondering life. We will definitely be back!
