Monthly Rentals in Kali Gandaki River

We were very happy in this beautiful little space and extended to stay in another one of the apartments in the building. There are a whole number of different ones with different layouts. This one is on the ground floor, easily accessible, safe and lighter than it seems in the pictures. It's spacious and comfortable and the kitchen has lots of space too! Ekraj is extremely helpful and super responsive. Anything we needed was met in minutes! Lovely family and cute dog. :-) There are all kinds of shops in close walking distance (bakery, vegetables, big department store, cafés etc.) as well as the forest and hills and it's also not far to walk to the lake. We'd certainly stay here again!

I had the best, most relaxing, time at Mahakuruna! I was doing a mix of working, hiking, relaxation. The place has a very nice construction, is tastefully decorated, and has nice additions like a wood fire and bath for if it gets a bit chilly. The view from the front door is also spectacular. Honestly, something that made the trip super simple and really elevated it was using Arun there (probably the only airbnb that comes with a chef 😆). All of the meals he cooked were both very healthy and delicious. I enjoyed every one. Walking down into the valley via all the villages was great. I would also recommend the hike up to Pitam Deurali that takes about 4hrs round trip. Add on Australian base camp too if you want to hike a bit longer, but be sure to take the route avoiding Pothana though, as there is a permit checkpoint there. I'm by no means advocating to skip getting a permit - if you wish to hike further afield, definitely get one! (from KTM or Pokhara in advance)

Narayan is immediately responsive to every question and solving any issues. he helped recommend a taxi driver from the airport and we used the same driver ( biru) multiple times. the HIGHLIGHT for us was sweet 2 year old dog Hannah! Narayan also helped us find a porter and knows detailed trekking info for the 14 day trek one of us is embarking on. easily walkable to Lakeside , and we loved the vegan choices and plant based restaurants around Lakeside

We had a wonderful stay at Cozy Modern Cottage The Cozy Modern Cottage was a perfect place to stay! It was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The host and his family were incredibly kind and attentive. The area is peaceful and charming, with everything you need within walking distance – kiosks, fruit and vegetable stands, exchange services, and bus ticket agencies. It’s also close to Lake Pewa, yet far enough from the tourist crowds. Plenty of nice cafés, shops, and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended – a great location!
