Lovely little flat in great location for short stay in Kirkwall . Kerry and Tara were friendly and very quick to answer any queries. Would certainly use them again if ever back visiting Orkney.

We were three people who were up for a long weekend, and the Airbnb was absolutely perfect for our stay - the location is a stone’s throw away from Kirkwall’s main streets, and the parking was so useful as well. Graham was extremely helpful throughout our time there, and the apartment itself was really lovely, with everything we could need and leaflets with tourist information as well. Highly recommend!

We can’t recommend Puffin Cottage highly enough. Ian and Fiona were brilliant hosts. They were both so friendly and accommodating and made us feel right at home. They gave us milk, Orkney fudge, butter and a loaf of local fresh bread to welcome us and Fiona gave us a friendly introduction to the cottage, and Orkney more generally. The place was absolutely ideal for us: compact but with everything we needed: a well-stocked kitchen, with loads of basic commodities and condiments, masses of towels, a super-comfy bed, a morning sun-trap of a little garden, excellent hob and oven, fridge with good freezer compartment, ultra-convenient parking, and their offer of friendly, knowledgeable, pressure-free advice and support if we ever needed it. They are BRILLIANT hosts. A perfect base for a week exploring this magical place.
