The Goods Wagon, private garden and stunning views

SiânRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Goods Waggon made for a great base to explore a bit of Northumberland. Very cosy, comfy, and warm. The garden feels really private and the view from the decking at the front of the waggon is lovely. It was blowing a hoolie while we were there so we didn't get to take advantage of the outdoor space as much as we would have liked to. The separate bathroom (toilet, sink, shower) is nicely done out and warm (we were there at the end of March). It is a short walk from Alnmouth station should you need to use public transport, about a 15-20min walk to The Coach Inn in Lesbury (good food at reasonable prices). And again about a 20min walk into Alnmouth where there's a choice of restaurants, cafés, and bars, as well as the Old School Gallery, and, of course, the beach. It's a short drive to Alnwick for the castle and gardens, and Barter Books which is a must! Even though there is plenty to do around and about, the waggon would be a perfect place to curl up with a book for the day.

Pope Lodge: Stunning Stone Coach House Conversion

AnitaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We enjoyed our stay at Popes Lodge. The location was excellent. We could walk to the beach and local restaurants and Alnwick was only a short drive away. The accommodation was as described. It was warm and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend it and would visit again. I would really recommend a visit to The Jolly Fisherman in Craster for food. You would need to book a table beforehand.
