Accommodation was very clean, in a quiet area. Ideal base for working locally.

Gertie was always very responsive, flexible with check in and checkout which was great for us travelling a long way, overall worth the money we paid as a group!

For anyone hesitating on booking Kerry s place, please close your eyes and book it… spotlessly clean, every amenity u can think of .. bathroom/ shower brilliant.. Kerry has put in a lot of work .. the bed was super comfortable.. excellent linen…attention to detail.. thoughtful in leaving us a beautiful hamper.. thank you so much Kerry for a beautiful stay!!🥰

This was perfect for what we needed, and was just as described. The hosts were very quick in their response when we needed something in the house that we couldn't find. The house was warm and cosy, plenty of crockery, and bits and pieces like tea and coffee, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and so on. A great stay. Thanks!

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

This was a gem of a property. Everywhere you looked there were really thoughtful practical touches (e.g. attractive doorstops beside the self-closing doors for when you were moving suitcases, safety covers for low plugs in the kitchen that could have been explored by a toddler) and yet it was stylishly furnished with extremely comfortable furniture. The kitchen was probably the best equipped and provisioned that I have every come across and everything was spotless and high spec. Had we been here in warmer weather the little outdoor courtyard would have been a joy. We love old houses and this was a fascinating one - we loved that the beautiful Victorian tiles had been preserved in the front hall, along with other items exposed during renovation such as the workings of the servants bell system in the sitting room and some original wall paper on the first landing (cleverly made to look like a hung print by 'framing' it in wood). Thank you, Adrian, we loved it!

We liked everything, the price is good

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Great area for a short stay!

Fabulous propertyand it was better than the photos. We all loved staying here and very quickly felt at home. It was a beautiful family home, and it was warm, comfortable with everything you could possibly need. All the bedrooms were a great size and we had lashings of hot water. It was a 60th birthday weekend party and we couldn't have celebrated in a better place. We were all reluctant to leave.

This house is stunning. Much larger than the photos suggest, extremely well equipped, very very comfortable and spacious and the perfect place for a large family gathering with no chance of anyone feeling they can't have any quiet space. So much space both inside and out. We took turns cooking the family meals in the wonderful kitchen. We definitely had a much needed family celebratory long weekend for a new baby due in December, two wedding anniversaries, 5 birthdays, a UK residency and hopefully a new job all happening in lock-down, plus a postponed wedding and to gather strength for an unexpected major operation. We loved it and only left the house on one occasion in order to make the most of the house! We will definitely be back to this wonderful special house and would highly recommend it. Very welcoming upon arrival, showed us where everything is. Good appliances. Comfy atmosphere. Very willing couple, will help you out with what they can! Eg; directions, places to eat/drink. Hot tub nice and clean. Can’t fault the place or the hosts. Genuinely a good night stay. Recommend 100%

To only give this Airbnb a 5 star rating feels very unfair, if I could have given it higher I would have. The property was beautifully presented, had amazing large communal spaces, with a very high standard of furniture, furnishings, and cleanliness. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The beds were great quality, and it was full of nice extra touches. The hosts were extremely generous, gracious, and friendly. A fantastic experience for us that will be hard for anyone else to top. We will definitely try to book this accommodation in the future when we are in the area. I have been fortunate enough to have many great experiences using Airbnb, but this was easily the Best.

Excellent place with very good rooms and en suite bathrooms. The rooms on the second level were a bit small but very comfortable. The living area was huge and the kitchen was very well equipped. The hot tub was a great addition and helped us a lot when we returned from golf. The location is very good and an easy 10 min drive to the main part of the city. The drive to St Andrews was very easy and convenient. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend this Airbnb.
