Breathtaking view of the ocean, a hill, and palm trees. The house had everything needed and even more!

We had a wonderful holiday at Casa da Janela! The house is beautiful, very welcoming and perfect for family moments. It was impeccably clean, well-equipped and full of small details that made us feel truly at home. The countryside is simply relaxing — with a breathtaking view of the mountain and the sea. The smooth noise of the waves and absolute quiet were the perfect setting to recharge energy. The location is excellent: isolated enough to ensure total peace of mind, but close to everything we needed. A big thank you to hosts, who have always been attentive and available.

We had a wonderful 2 days stay at the house. outside has lots of nice seating areas, perfect place to eat breakfast and dinner. The kitchen has every supply that we needed to cook. Overall a great house to stay.

The house is an old farmhouse and very spacious. Instead of windows, some rooms have doors to the outside. Very nice is the conservatory, where you can sit even in less good weather and enjoy the magnificent view. The kitchen is well equipped. We sometimes disturbed the traffic past the house. We were warmly welcomed with fruit and Madeira wine. Many thanks to Emanuel for the friendly accompaniment and the good recommendations. I can only recommend the house!

One of our best AirBnBs ever. Exactly as advertise, Sofia's place is large, comfortable and beautifully situated. Jardim do Mar is our favourite spot on our favorite island. Would return to Sofia's place again and again - unfortunately next year renovation is planned but the current house is wonderful. Sofia is extremely helpful and responsive - I don't remember ever waiting more than 15 mins for a response. Our 5 weeks stay flew by. Highest level of recommendation.

Beautiful house! Amazing host, Paula makes sure everything is great. She even dropped by in the evening to bring new sheets when our baby threw up on our bed. Too sweet. Also the communication with her was the best ever. Big pool, great garden to have morning coffee in the sun, lovely village on walking distance. Good to know that the water pressure of the showers are a bit low, we were able to get a good shower anyway. Paula is super flexible, we were allowed to stay in the house until our flight left that day because there was not a guest coming that day or the next. All in all we would recommend Paula’s place 1000%.

A property set in a stunning location, the views of Funchal were amazing. The property has a private pool within spacious grounds. The house is well equipped with everything a family needs, particularly the kitchen. Carlota and Babi were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any correspondence.

The place is really very clean, really nothing to complain about! it was perfect! there is space with a beautiful kitchen and a view of the beautiful sunset!! The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

Claudia is very warm and the apartment is very well cared for. Each apartment has its own veranda and there is a shared swimming pool with sun loungers and sitting area.

we had a great stay in Catherine's apartment. this is a fantastic and superior apartment which is very well equipped with everything in terms of cooking facilities, utensils etc and is very comfortable and relaxing . The Balcony is spacious with fantastic views of the harbour, ocean and town. The rooftop pool and gym are an added bonus . we had the pool to ourselves on most days during our stay. there is a really good fish restaurant just along the street and the main bus stop for funchal etc is just at end of street we would reccomend this apartment to anyone planning a stay in Camara de lobos. The apartment was very clean with all new equipment . There was some road noise during morning traffic but not too bad as just single lane one way street and there is good standard of double glazing. Catherine and Anna Maria communicated well with us at all times and ensured we had everything we needed.

The location and amenities of the accommodation are great! There is nothing missing and you immediately feel at home. In the house itself there are various helpful tips in the form of a folder, which points to house rules, excursion destinations and many other things. The communication with Karol is quick and he is always helpful.

The accommodation was ideal for a vacation in Funchal, with many restaurants and cafes fairly close by. We had not appreciated how steep the hill is when walking up from the old town, but managed the walk virtually every day during our 3 week stay. Prospective visitors would be well advised to make use of taxis (costing around €6 from the town centre to the property) or check out the Number 22 bus which runs from town to a stop outside the property. Had we looked at the bus details earlier, we might have saved ourselves some hill climbing. We watched the New Year fireworks from the road outside and would really recommend this fantastic experience to others. Carina is a very considerate and supportive host and was always quick to help, whenever asked.

It is a professionally run place with everything you need to stay in Madeira. Absolutely recommended

A warm and warm welcome from Martine and Richard. They left us a beautiful house in a green protected garden, which is furnished with a lot of love for detail, for a relaxing time. You can feel wantless and comfortable in this Portuguese gem! You don't need anything, everything has been thought of and everything is modern and high quality. If you're looking for a quiet area to get away from the crowds in the cities this is a wonderful place. It's nestled in the mountain valleys near Ponta do Prago but quite near the ocean. We loved our 6 day stay at Frederica 's. She provided good, clear instructions to get there. She also gave us very useful information on local attractions, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is on a very steep pitched road so walking up and down it can be a challenge ( we are in our 70's ) We did it a few times. There is a walk from her house to the waterfalls . It took us about 2 hrs. Rnd-trip but it was well worth it. If we were to return we'd go back in April or later.

The accommodation is excellent. it is very well equipped (extra towels, freezer, all utensils for cooking from seasoning to cooking, storage, washing machine with laundry detergent, ext laundry rack, ext table with sunbed, TV, board games) everything was like home! we enjoyed the presence of the kitten. very quiet environment in the countryside and secure with a beautiful view. Private parking is a real plus! hosts are very responsive in case of problems, and full of nice touches upon arrival! the only negative points remain the humidity of the accommodation quite present (beware of clothes) and the lack of heating in cool periods. We'll come back here for sure! thanks for everything!

We stayed at Adriana's place for the second time. A house that makes you feel at home because of the nice atmosphere that prevails there and is also located in a magically beautiful sunny and quiet place. Adriana is a warm and warm person who speaks good English and likes to tell you about her island and the residents. We already know that we will come back to this place a third time.
