House holiday rentals in Mangōnui

It is not 5 star accommodation but it did not say it was. It was clean and things worked. Great value for a group of friends travelling. 2 night stay sitting on the deck in the evening, the view of the falls and below was great. We ate at the manor a couple of minutes' walk away and enjoyed Karoke. Second night we made dinner. What was important to us? a) 8 of us can stay together b) keeping cost down c) clean. We will come back in again on the next trip in 2026.

This home is awesome, so close to everything and has everything you need. Unfortunately, the pool heating wasn't playing ball but we were able to take advantage of the spa.

We had an amazing stay! Rodd was incredibly professional and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The house is absolutely stunning and looks exactly like the pictures. The amenities provided truly elevated the experience as we had everything we could possibly need at our fingertips. My family and I had so much fun as there's so much to do, and all of the amenities are in amazing condition. Thank you Rodd for being so accomodating! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Lovely big home with stunning view! House was comfortable and clean and in close proximity to the Russell ferry. The large deck was perfect for our evening barbecues and family meals. We really appreciated the screened window in the master bedroom which meant mosquito-free sleep! Apart from the very low water pressure in the ensuite bathroom we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

A very comfortable house, close to the main part of town. It was very quiet and secure and had everything we needed. The house was bright and filled with natural light. We could hear the rain on the tin roof which was soothing. There was heaps of clean spare linen including towels and extra blankets if needed. The fridge and pantry had some breakfast supplied which was nice. Beautiful Kiwi fruit. Margaret kept us updated very well.

We had a lovely peaceful few days here to start our family adventure in New Zealand. We arrived very jet lagged but were easily able settle into the comfortable apartment and all slept well. Breakfasts were enjoyed on the deck looking at the Point and down to the water. Birds sang all day. It’s a quick drive to Russell (decent coffee and friendly at Hellhole). We stayed very local, walking a couple of easy tracks and swimming in the calm sandy bay at the bottom of the road. The highlight of the trip was heading out in the evening with Douglas to kiwi spot. Our daughters really wanted to see a kiwi in the wild and this was the reason we booked to stay here. Douglas was very generous with his time and knowledge. When kiwi eluded us we went out another time. We did, when we had just about given up hope, find a kiwi and it will be a life long memory for us all. Douglas, and his brother William who lives below were kind and responsive hosts. We thoroughly recommend!

A spa to wind down with serene surroundings, a Man Cave shed fit for a few cold ones with the boys or even some cocktails with the girls. Awesome hosts with amazing hospitality and communication is great! 5 Stars!! Had booked for 3 days but extended our stay for another 4 days, we didn't want to go home!! Peace & Tranquility is what this house and area are serving! We hope to be back very soon for another much needed get away!

What a gem! Absolutely gorgeous spot - there are many things to do in the area and I still had a hard time getting everyone out of the house - All they wanted to do is enjoy the space and the incredible view from the deck with private beach entry 😄 The house is equipped very well with everything you may need in the kitchen and great outdoor living amenities The beds were comfy and fresh flowers around the house were a lovely touch Thank you again for hosting us Ceri/Elaine - will definitely be back and already recommended your place to all my friends

A wonderful place to stay for views and accommodation. The technology and infrastructure were a little dated e.g window fixed mosquito nets were tatty and/or tricky to operate on a couple of windows, but this was a small price to pay for the magnificence of both the view and the scale of the accommodation itself, as everything else worked well and met/exceeded all of our needs. As a result we would definitely stay again and recommend, as it made the last week of our holiday absolutely fantastic! We loved the remoteness but easy accessibility to Russell which was beautiful, and access to our own private beach was a bonus, although a trip to Long beach, around the headland is a must, it’s an awesome place to swim! Kelly was really helpful and friendly too 😁

The cottage is only 100 meters away from the seashore, rooms are clean and peaceful! 100% recommend.

We loved our stay in the northland! We had a great time exploring the area and actually decided to cut some of our explorations short to have more time to hang out on Toni’s beautiful deck! We loved watching the sunset from the beach just a short walk away in the evenings and enjoying our coffee on the deck listening to the birds in the mornings. A beautiful home in a beautiful part of the world!

Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.

What a stunning location! Clyde’s house is huge with outstanding views. Our extended family of 8 had a wonderful stay.

Francine’s house is located at a quiet residential area,five minutes drive to restaurants and shops. the rooms and bathrooms are specious, the deck is overlooking at a beautiful view of the forests very relaxing.Thank you Francie for your prompt response and the late check out. Francie we had a good time at your home however the stairs at the entry were challenging for my husband as he had difficulty going up and down the stairs, not suitable for people with disabilities. I should have checked that out .Highly recommend if the stairs are not an issue.
