Farmstay holiday rentals in Massachusetts

We spent a long weekend at Sweet Water Farm with extended family - what a treat this was! There was plenty of space for us all and the bedrooms were arranged in a way that there was privacy but also great common areas to be together. The house is tucked away at the end of a quiet dead end road. We enjoyed spending time at the house - s'mores by the fire, on-property hiking trails, and beautiful views - but also time out and about exploring the history and beauty of the area. Meals were simple to make for a crowd as the kitchesthad plenty of pots, pans, utensils, etc. of all shapes and sizes. I love AirBNBs but sometimes directions can be confusing. We really appreciated the many clear notes around the house explaining house expectations and agreed it was the best we have seen at any AirBNB! Our host was very responsive and accommodating, everything in the home was as described and easy to use/find, and set us up for a wonderful weekend of family memories. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Dogtown Cabin was absolutely wonderful! Julie was consistently available for any questions or concerns and she was kind and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin itself was cozy yet spacious. Plus it was equipped with everything we needed to help make our stay comfortable. They had some great trails on the property and my family had a great time exploring them. The beautiful property is serene and private but close enough to a lot of tourists destinations. And let’s not forget the animals! My son had a great time meeting the horses and chickens. But I will say hands down the best part of our stay were our adorable furry hosts, Darwin and Azore! They greeted us every morning! Hanging out with them made our stay even more special! We honestly can’t wait to come back.

The owners were very responsive and I loved the privacy as I have never stayed in a cabin. The accommodations were nice and the place was warm, cozy clean and and felt relaxed. Although a little cold I did like leveraging the fireplace briefly… Ultimately, our only complaints were the area as there wasn’t much going on and on our end we didn’t over prepare. The cabin was definitely the highlight! We might visit again when the State Park is open. Best Regards, Mike R

We loved our stay at this beautiful house! It felt like home when we arrived and we appreciated the opportunity to check in early. There are multiple sitting areas both inside and out. Three bedrooms and two full baths are upstairs with two separate stairways and provided privacy for our group. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have spices available for our use. We enjoyed the long trail just across the street, and easy access to local markets and restaurants. We'd love to return!

Very cozy and comfortable. Nice view of meadow and farm animals. Quickly fixed shower when it broke. Would come back again.

A beautiful location. Amazing workout room . Everything you could ask for and more. Anthony and Rachael are great hosts. I was greeted upon arrival and felt right at home. I plan on returning in the future. Thanks again for the hospitality

The Stone Schoolhouse was an awesome place to stay. The classroom was fascinating and very cool. Rich and Cheryl were very friendly and helpful. One downside was that the primary bedroom and the bathroom were on different levels, but everything else was so great that this seemed like a minor inconvenience and the overall experience of staying there was still great. We stayed at the schoolhouse in February during a deep freeze and found the heat to be sufficient and in general that it was a good place to be in the winter.

I loved my stay at the Carriage House! This hidden gem was the perfect place for visiting a friend at Wellesley College and for my own solo creative retreat. I’ve stayed at a lot of nice Airbnbs, but this is truly one-of-a-kind. Historic – with great WiFi and TV. Unique – with all the standard necessities, including coffee. Cozy, but still spacious. It’s charming, relaxing, and welcoming, from the painted floors to the wood-burning fireplace to the lovely loft. Ubering was easy, and it’s walking distance to food and the Sacred Cow Memorial. (Trust me. Emily the Cow is worth the walk.) Great communication with Elisa and Stacey. If I’m ever back in Boston, I’m staying here!

Just had a great stay in Great Barrington. Enjoyed the house and all of its amenities. Location was great, close to great restaurants, hiking and skiing. Would recommend this property and our host!!

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at Christian's place! The house was immaculate. We loved that they had a well-stocked kitchen with an open layout that made cooking/family meals a pleasure! The property was beautiful, but we didn't go out much because the interior was such a delight. We were four adults and two children and it was more than enough space with so many fun nooks to explore. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!!

Great, private, peaceful and cozy. Close enough to town to find things to do but you can also stock the kitchen with groceries and stay in and not need to leave. Primary bedroom is large a cozy, comfortable mattress and linens. Enjoyed the tub both days and water gets nice and hot. Loved that we could bring all 3 little doggos and they loved running around the yard. Will be back when the warm weather hits!

We had a lovely stay at Mark's home! The house was super spacious and clean - perfect for a long weekend. Great location and surroundings! He was a great host and let us check in early and check out late.

Set upon the eastern bluffs of the Berkshire hills, Highfields farm is a stunningly beautiful property with great vistas. The autumn leaves were changing and the crisp clear mornings gave way to comfortably warm days.! The night sky was spectacular without light pollution. We will be back

We had a wonderful stay at Jackie’s charming 1780s farmhouse in Uxbridge, MA! From the moment we arrived, Jackie made us feel right at home—she greeted us at the door and gave us a brief tour of the house, which truly looks like it belongs in a storybook. The home is beautifully preserved and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. Jackie stocked the kitchen with everything we needed for a light breakfast—milk, coffee, tea, yogurt, scones, and oatmeal—which was perfect for our short stay. She also put together a detailed guidebook with local recommendations, and we’re so glad we followed her suggestion to try UXLOCALE—it was absolutely incredible. Only about an hour outside of Boston, the area was peaceful, scenic, and a perfect little getaway. As an added bonus, we got to meet her two adorable dogs in the morning, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay with a touch of history and charm!

Five couples enjoyed two nights at Elizabeth's lovely home. It was the perfect size home for the 10 of us. The kitchen has everything you need. The home was very clean. Elizabeth is very responsive and was able to get us in an hour early. Be sure to read the history of the home which can be found in the library. We were able to enjoy happy hour on the deck with the late afternoon sun shining on us. The home is on a very quiet and peaceful road. We highly recommend this home! Dalton HD Pizza has great pizza. We hiked at The Boulders in Dalton and the Mass Audubon's Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Lenox . We also really enjoyed the Norman Rockwell Museum in Lenox.

Zoe is an extremely responsive & attentive host, offering great information & suggestions. The property is quiet, peaceful & lovely, easily accessible to other areas of Martha's Vineyard. The loft itself is well equipped & nicely appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s place. It was very conveniently located to the base of Jiminy Peak, which made getting to and from the mountain very easy. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed. We used the fireplace twice and it was super easy. Having access to the facilities at The Country Inn at Jiminy Peak was great as I am injured and can’t ski currently, so instead I went to the gym each day. My family didn’t want to leave and my kids are asking when we can go back!

We stayed over the long weekend at this beautiful property. It’s located centrally close to all the major attractions and beaches. The property had beautiful features and felt very comfortable. The home itself had a lot of charm and had a positive energy. Hosts were very kind and nice to communicate with. They left us wonderful treats and fresh eggs from their beautiful garden. Overall it was a great stay at their property. Highly recommended and we will be staying there again. I will highly recommend getting a car to travel in the island so you can go to Edgartown or other places.

The Hygge House was a lovely spot to spend my birthday weekend with my family and friends. We took advantage of so many close-by activities. But the highlights were at the house itself - paddling the canoe and kayak through the water, outdoor dinner, and s’mores at the fire pit. Jessica was also so easy to communicate with and super accommodating during a personal emergency we experienced. We loved our stay and would love to come back again soon.

This is our second time to Jenny's place and I am sure there will be a fifth time. It is perfect for a girls' weekend. Everything is clean and organized. It feels like a home the minute you step inside. Can't wait to go back next year!

This is my favorite rental. It is so cozy and open at the same time. There is plenty of space for everyone with two twin beds, a king bed in the loft, a fold out sofa and a queen bedroom downstairs for my daughter. The woods are beautiful and the house is in a quiet location. At the same time, it is not too far from the Allendale shopping area in Pittsfield, small stores in Hinsdale, as well as Williamsburg and Northampton. The house is very warm even in the winter, comes with everything you need to cook, and has laundry. The bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms are nice. The TV and WIFI streaming work great. There is an extra long table which we use for games and a deck overlooking the backyard. Overall, it is a great place to stay for families.
