We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night break at Carol Ann’s cottage. From my initial enquiry to questions during our stay, Carol Ann was extremely responsive and super helpful. She popped by to check in and brought us a bin bag when we didn’t have one, we enjoyed chatting with her. The cottage is lovely, excellent amenities and extremely comfortable with lovely views of the lake. We made use of the paddle boat, kayak and SUP. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught small sunfish and bass. Madoc town is just 5 minutes away. It was an ideal spot for us to enjoy some family time, we would definitely stay again! We booked Melissa's place to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and along the family day weekend. The home is welcoming and warm. We fit right into it as we live there. The kitchen is well-stocked should you want to cook. I didn't. :). The home and location will be more fitting in summer when you can maximize the river flowing in the backyard. In winter, the place is dead, and there is nothing much to do. The closest Tim Hortons, Mcdonalds or grocery store is 10-12 minutes drive. Pack yourself food, water and treats. Should you look for a cozy getaway from city life, this is a place to be with a river flowing at your doorstep. Breathtaking... PS- Melissa was very responsive and a great host.

We had a cozy peaceful weekend at the cabin. Everything we needed was there, even the things we didn't think to bring. The property is beautiful and we were able to go for long forest walks with two very happy dogs. The cabin was rustic and unique, we loved all the little details that made this place truly one of a kind. There are lots of books to browse through and a good internet connection for movies by the fire. Tim was an excellent host, he was gracious enough to let us adjust our booking after I selected the wrong dates and communicated with us quickly and kindly. I could've stayed there happliy for another week or two, can't recommend this cabin highly enough! I hope we have an opportunity to visit again.

Beautiful property on a quiet dead end street. Christine is very responsive when you need something but gives you your space otherwise. The grounds are beautiful and the apartment was extremely clean and well equipped. Christine has thought of everything. Highly recommended this place!
