Wonderful location, away from it all though close enough to Sneem and Kenmare which has all requirements and more. Spacious old traditional farmhouse ideal for a number of people with great views while eating outdoors looking across to Carrauntohill. Good places to swim within a few kilometres which is nice. Host very efficient in communication which is helpful and beds are comfortable (which is important!).

We had a wonderful stay at Sharmrock cottage. The cottage is very spacious and pleasant. It's in an idyllic setting! The sublime landscapes are a veritable freedom from nature. It's very nice to be able to go hiking directly from the cottage without getting in the car. Our family stay was very relaxing and refreshing. Margaret and Patrick welcomed us very kindly. I stayed at Brian's place for six weeks and was looking for peace and quite so I could read and reflect. I also like walking, particularly in wilderness areas. The location, being just outside Killarney was perfect. The flat was private and the Killarney National Park, which is extensive, was only a short drive away. I also used this accommodation as a base for visiting other places: Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Tralee and Cork, which were not that far away. The trains are great, and I used them to travel to Tralee and Cork. The flat itself was ideal with bedroom, kitchen-sitting room and bathroom, which had all the necessary things. Heating, internet and TV were excellent. Brian and his wife were very accommodating and responded quickly to any questions I had. At the same time, they respected my privacy. I had a wonderful stay there and highly recommend to others.
