Advantages: 🔹Transportation: 2 minutes walk in Hutongli on the right hand side of the Meitetsu Dongji station (first turn left), very convenient; 🔹Check-in: The host provides a very detailed check-in method, self check-in with password, no face-to-face negotiation, it is possible to arrive after the earliest check-in time agreed at the property; 🔹Communication: Chinese, Traditional Chinese characters should be the host's preset response, Simplified is a reply to other questions, and the response is very timely and accurate; 🔹Nearby: Lawson, Aeon, 10 minutes walk is Kyoto Station shopping district, Isetan, yodobashi, dining and shopping; 🔹Hygiene: clean, garbage identification is clear, garbage can be bagged and placed in the garbage can outside the door, there are staff to pick up, paper towels, paper roll paper to be replenished; 🔹Beds: 3 private rooms, 1 on one floor and one (relatively large size), 1 western type +1 and style on the second floor, we stayed for 4 people, the first host prepared 1 and +1 western, when you check in the next day, please help the host prepare 2 and style rooms; 🔹Bathroom: Dry and wet separated, the first floor of the bathroom is separate, the second floor is separated with the shower room, but it is separated by a sliding door; 🔹: Thank you very much for providing the luggage storage service, keep your luggage in the living room on the first floor, and communicate with the host; 🔹Air conditioning: Stay in the winter, turn on the air conditioning, the overall room temperature is acceptable, and the shower room is warm. We really enjoyed staying at this homestay as it was clean, quiet and away from the busy city. It's about a 10 min walk to the closest Joju station, 2 stations away from Kyoto station. Simple, cozy, quaint 2 storey with everything you need. Sleeping in tradtional tatami rooms and futons was nice. Kitchen amenities came in handy for making our own dinners as well as having a hot water kettle very useful for brwwing a quick cup of tea and coffee. Fridge and freezer is full size (japan) so we stocked up on groceries so we could cook and eat like a local or when you get tired of eating out. Shower room was a little chilly but we were fine as heating was very sufficient for bedrooms and living rooms so we were aleays warm. Washer was very handy to do laundry. Space was omfortable for 2 of us with lots of space to open our luggage in the living room, eat at the table and sit on the tatami floor and enjoy a restful evening. Thank you 慶玲 for everything & letting us drop off luggage early.

I had an amazing stay at Choko’s place in Kyoto! The location was perfect—close to many attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. The space itself was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Choko was an incredibly flexible and accommodating host, always responsive and willing to help with any questions or requests. Their hospitality made my trip even better. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

The place is beautiful and in such a lovely part of Kyoto! It’s very peaceful and quiet and so close and convenient to all the major attractions. We are a family of four and the space was perfect for us, with a fully equipped kitchen and kid friendly dinnerware and items (toys, high chairs, cots, even stroller and baby carrier!) The host were so responsive and helpful. We loved it so much we tried to extend our stay but it was fully booked. However we were able to book their sister accommodation next door! Anyway so happy we found this place!

Our stay at this house in Kyoto was absolutely amazing! The view was exactly as shown in the photos—breathtaking and serene. The host was incredibly easy to communicate with and always responsive. We had to send our luggage from Tokyo in advance, and the host provided all the assistance we needed, making the process smooth and hassle-free. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Very good deal and almost new cozy home. Like almost everything for the house, just need to bear with Kyoto's buses to commute. Recommend to take a taxi to major station, this will save your time. Don't trust google map's bus time table, as it is just scheduled time. There will always be unknown delayed due to traffic jam and long-queue for bus.

The place is great. It's in a relatively quiet neighbourhood, but easily assessible and can quickly travel out to places of interests. The place itself is clean, and hosts are extremely responsive and very friendly. It was a great experience.

We enjoyed the lovely traditional style of this accommodation. I was travelling with a large group and we had plenty of space to relax. The location was very central with good access to buses for sightseeing. Host kindly allowed us to drop off our bags prior to check in, which saved the hassle of finding luggage storage. Overall highly recommend!

Very easy to find the place with Junko’s instructions. It is close to Kinkaku-ji but you will need to take the bus for the rest of the touristic areas. The staff and Junko are very kind and helpful. The room is cozy, the bed quite comfortable and the kitchen in it is so convenient. The shared bathroom is clean and the schedule system worked well, there is always a second bathroom if needed. Overall a perfect place for a Kyoto trip!

It was really great to stay at Asaki-san’s place! Asaki-san is also very helpful in giving instructions. She responds quite quick enough. The accommodation itself is wonderful, very comfortable, and its location was convenient for our travelling with my friend.

We had an amazing stay here. The room was big, clean, the private toilet & shower were attached, bed was comfortable to sleep. All staff speaks good English, very friendly and helpful. Walking distance from Hirakata station which is great access to both Kyoto & Osaka. There are many shopping malls, restaurants, convenience stores, and bars nearby the station. As this place is in a residential area, we met so many local people and experienced real cultures. We will definitely come back to stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay in Yukiko’s place. The unit was very clean especially the bathroom and toilet. In fact it’s one of the best I ever stayed for this price range. It’s located nearby a station exit so it’s very convenient. There are many good restaurants nearby and a convenient store.

Very friendly and helpful host. The accomodation was exactly as advertised and was a great location to relax and experience traditional Japanese ryokan. Our host kindly provided daily breakfasts as well as transport to the nearest train stations. Highly recommend for future guests.

We stayed at the house for a week and had an excellent time. It's big, comfortable, you feel right at home. It is a 10-minute walk to Kyoto station and two blocks to an avenue where many buses pass that is very convenient to get around. The kitchen is spacious and allows you to cook.
