Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nether Edge

What a fab house this is. We stayed for 6 weeks and did not want to leave. Jo was always on hand if we needed anything but the house is so well set up that we rarely did. The location is fab on a quiet back street but a COOP, Indian and nice bar all within a few mins walk. The house is really well presented and has everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. The hot tub is a great addition and the garden feels really private. All the bedrooms are a great size and perfect for couples. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Full 5 stars from us!

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Two adults and two pre-teen children. The children loved the hot tub. Quite a few walking trails near the cottage. This was our first air b n b stay and would definitely return. The cottage is clean and so many lovely little touches. We loved the log burner for the colder evenings. We used the hosts recommendations for dinner and visited the Carnarvon pub and also ate from the local takeaways. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family. Also lots in the local area to do for all ages. Would definitely recommend.

Me, my partner and kids had a lovely stay here. Place was spotless, nice and big, then with the added hot tub and sauna. All exactly what we all needed after a couple of days at Alton towers. Scott was very quick to respond with any questions we ask. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay.

The apartment was lovely, clean, well kept and just as described. Sadiya was also amazing, friendly, welcoming and always quick to respond if we needed anything. She really made the stay feel easy and stress free. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Responsive host, fresh linen sheets, clean bathroom and kitchen. Farm animals are very cute and kids enjoy using the hot tub under starry nights. Spacious for 4 of us and bbq girl is a plus. Hot tub is ready to use upon arrival. Highly recommended and we would love to stay in The Diary again.

We had a lovely few days here. Our kids really enjoyed seeing the lambs in the field at the back of the property & the chickens roaming about. Tranquil setting, spotless, spacious house and responsive host, we would definitely stay again! Would recommend the Beehive pub which was only a short walk away, family friendly & delicious food.

Gorgeous place to stay. Views from every window. Expect family ducks, chickens and peacock to pay you a visit, and if you hear snoring, it’s probably the large pig outside the window!

What an incredible place! We fell in love with it. We were given excellent instructions prior to arrival and the owners came to say hi with the horses which my children loved. They also made friends wirh the two dogs and cat. The cottage has everything you could need, was really warm and cosy and had a lovely modern kitchen. The location is perfect, peaceful with no noise but close to Matlock. The lambs in the field next door were gorgeous! We will definitely be back, honestly couldnt fault it xxx

The best location in the peaks, in a small village with sizeable walks every turn you take. The house itself is everything and more than you could ask for, Cary had a quick response time and was incredibly helpful. I’d highly recommend this stay to anyone and everyone!

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

Such a cosy home in a really beautiful place. Each room seemed to have its own personality which made our stay even more interesting! So much character. We enjoyed the historical information about the house and the area too. Kim made us feel so welcome and had thought about all the little details. We visited to celebrate a 40th birthday with our 1yo daughter who was also right at home here! It was a truly memorable stay.

Brown Bread Cottage is a great place to stay for easy access to brilliant walking without using the car! It is situated in a quiet road away from the main tourist hot spots. The garden amenities are very good including a small safe fenced area for the dog to be off lead. We found the house clean and well appointed for 4 guests with a well equipped kitchen. The bedding was pristine! Andre was the perfect host. We hope to return! Thank you Andre

We loved our stay at Brosterfield Cottage and wish we’d have stayed longer! The location was stunning, close to lots of great walks, it was easy to find, plenty of parking space (we had two cars), and we were happily left to our own devices. There’s a lovely pub just a 15min walk away and the cottage itself was beautiful, clean, very comfy bed and it had everything we needed. I’d definitely recommended and we’re already looking forward to visiting again. Thanks Penny!

We had a large group stay for 2 nights, and found that the communal spaces worked really well. We appreciated having enough space for people to sit and eat together, with a separate lounge area that was similarly big enough for everyone to comfortably gather. The beds were comfortable, and the flexibility of the layout was appreciated. We had a nice meal out that was only 10mins drive away, and enjoyed the nice walks in the area. Communication from the host was responsive. There is only one small parking space at the property but there was plenty of on-street parking within close proximity.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

Birch Cottage was beautifully presented and perfect for a family get together. There was plenty of space, definitely did not feel cramped or on top of each other. The bathrooms were clean and modern, presented with complimentary toiletries. The bedrooms were a good size with adequate storage. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was pristine. The location of the cottage is stunning, halfway up a hillside with plenty of challenging walks literally on the doorstep. The pool area exceeded expectations. It was modern, clean and warm. Sophie pre-arranged with me the times that the occupants on our cottage would use it and that worked out fine. I would have no hesitation in recommending Birch Cottage and hope to visit again some day.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Biggest asset was as a peaceful base for a week’s walking in the White Peak. Great location for Bakewell and Hartington areas. Good mix of scenery and plenty of dog friendly pubs. Pool a bonus. Accommodation was comfortable and a couple of maintenance issues were resolved without fuss.

We had a fantastic break. 2 families with kids of different ages and the dogs of course. There was more than enough space for all of us, and the house was kitted out perfectly. We absolutely loved the swim spa and hot tub. We would definitely book the house again.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We spent a lovely 3 nights here with our 2 children (8 & 4) and our dog. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy & the whole place had a really homely feel to it. The hot tub was great, we also booked the pool on 2 of the days which was really easy and the kids loved having it to ourselves. We used the games room which had some really good equipment in it. The location was a few mins drive into Bakewell. Overall a great family friendly place to stay which we all loved and would happily stay at again.
