Beachfront holiday rentals in North Yorkshire

Loved our stay at the cottage its beautiful inside and tastefully done very clean and plenty of amenities its in a really good location close to everything but tucked away to be peaceful lovely views from the top floor and a nice big shower. Kate was very reponsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic place to stay, great location has everything you need and more. The only thing I would say is the main door downstairs to get in is quite tricky the key needs to be wiggled quite a bit to get it to open. A hard turn to the left gets it working once you know how. We loved our stay the home is gorgeous inside and couldn’t recommend staying here enough. We are already looking at dates to book to come back in a few months time

Lovely, tucked away little cottage which felt peaceful and private but was still actually really central in old town. Easy walk to everything which was fantastic! We struggled to find it initially (as it felt wrong to drive on the pedestrian only cobbles on an access only road) … but we trusted Charlotte’s instructions and photos and all was well (just have to temporarily leave the car on the cobbled pedestrian street while we took things through the alley and up the steps inside… but did see others doing this too). Nearby car park was full but having dropped off our stuff we then drove out a bit and parked for free on a residential street nearby (ish). Cottage itself was so thoughtfully decorated and equipped and we loved having a log burner when it was cool one evening. Steep and narrow stairs would mean not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues (or possibly very young children) but we loved the charm, character and quirkiness of the place. Totally recommend it!

We loved our stay at Shangri-la cottage. It's got a prime location that is absolutely beautiful and with the best parking space in Staithes. Clare is very good at communicating and she accommodated our need of a late check out which was much appreciated. Everything is in walking distance and the beach is outside your front window. Only small critiques are the cleaner needs to pay a little more attention to detail as it was quite dusty in places and the mattresses on the bunks were a little uncomfortable, also soft furnishings could do with updating such as pillows and cushions are a little tired. Needs a few tweeks to update it but overall still worth the money as its the best location you will get. Thank you Clare

Lovely weekend away in Sandsend. A beautiful holiday home just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Nice and private, plenty of parking, would recommend.

Excellent stay. Beautiful location right on the beach and wonderful house, filled with character and charm. We loved it. David was a great host, proactively messaging instructions and helpful guidance and advice well before our trip.

Absolutely fantastic place- the site has everything you could need: beach, co-op, play parks, activities, nature walks, eateries, great entertainment and incredible views! The caravan is beautiful and homely, the decking area in the sun with the beautiful sea view and on a serene part of the site. Trips into Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and Whitby are beautiful trips out. The caravan itself has everything a family could need to occupy children and as parents we had such a relaxing break i was sad to leave- this place is beautiful and we enjoyed everything about this booking- we would love to return again as it really is a beautiful gem of a place!

Really easy to find, lovely and clean. Very well furnished and easy to get into. Maryam also communicated really well leading up to and during the trip. Would absolutely stay again!

We had a fantastic stay at the chalet in Barmston by the Sea! The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the stunning beach, peaceful surroundings, and a great base to explore the area. We had trips to Bridlington animal park, Bempton cliffs to see the puffins and Sewerby Hall. The chalet itself was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Ben, the host, was brilliant—super helpful and always quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Suzanne's caravan. Firstly, Suzanne was a great communicator and made the check-in process very smooth and answered any questions that I had pre-arrival. On arrival, the caravan was clean and tidy and as described in the listing. The location was fantastic - it is 5 minutes walk from the main entertainment area but it was in a quiet cul-de-sac area so felt a bit more private than some of the site. We also had a sea view from the caravan and a short stroll on to the cliff top. We loved the location. The Haven site is great with loads to do for the kids...although with the exception of the parks, most of the activities (fairground, trampolining etc) are all paid extras. We purchased the play pass to access the swimming and evening entertainment but in all honesty, there was enough to do that we could have got away without paying for that as well. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again and stay in Suzanne's caravan.

A lovely stay at Willow cottage; we went with family including our baby, toddler and dog and there was plenty of space for us all! A 5-10 minute walk to the beach, a stones throw away from the pub on site and a very central location with parking right outside the front door. Perfect for us, we loved our stay and made lots of memories here with our family. Thank you!

We've just had a 3 night break at Kingfisher Cottage. It has everything you need for a relaxing break. The beds were really comfortable, TV in the bedrooms, the kitchen had everything we needed including a small airfryer, great central heating and a bathroom with full bath and shower over. There is also a downstairs toilet. Parking was easy and we got parked right outside the back of the cottage which made it easy to pack and unpack the car. Jo is a great host and even let us check in early at 2pm. When we arrived there was milk in the fridge and a nice packet of cookies waiting for us. The onsite swimming pool was a hit with our 11 year old. The pub is good too and we treated ourselves to a yummy breakfast there after we checked out. We were sad to leave but will definitely stay there again. Thank you Jo for a lovely stay :-)

we had a great time. very clean and cosy. it had beach vibes even during winter. we would like to come back in the summer. faultless stay. I had a few personal set backs as it is was the first time away with members of family suffering with dementia, but Andrea and Jason were both helpful and accommodating and responsive! we would definitely recommend. netflix was a nice treat! 5⭐

Lovely apartment , easy to find , met by Emma with the keys and to show us the apartment. Great position on the seafront with a small walk into the main town which contains a great mix of cafes, bars, general shops etc. Emma’s lighthouse cafe served up fantastic freshly cooked food with a varied menu , with gluten-free options. Apartment was as described, very well equipped and very clean. A generous hamper was left for us, containing scones, cake, coffee, hot chocolate, tea , plus a 4 pint pack of milk in the fridge, a very nice touch. Filey itself is a typical seaside town with a good mix of everything needed for an active beach holiday, or if you want a more slower paced quiet holiday, the choice is yours.

It's a lovely Flat in a beautiful location with fabulous views. Essential to know that bringing some supplies is essential as Sandsend doesn’t have a grocery or cornor store location. There are pubs and restaurants some of which are very nice.

When we walked into the cottage, we fell in love with it, especially once we got the fire going. It was so pretty, well equipped. It would have been nice to have some shampoo and conditioner but didn’t affect our stay. The beds were so comfy, especially the bed in the top bedroom. The mattress, duvet and cover made for a very cosy and perfect sleep. Would highly recommend. We hope to be back very soon!

Great stay, right on the beachfront. Private garden with the benefit of a private access stairs which take you right into Filey. Lovely apartment, well furnished, warm & clean with sea views. What more can you ask?

Gorgeous place to stay. Great access to the beach, restaurants and bus into Whitby. Couldn’t have picked a better location. The cottage was lovely inside, very comfortable and pristine. It was the perfect place for our getaway and celebration. Loved it!

I visit Whitby regularly to see family and this property allowed me to be close to both them and also the main town and beach, which the dogs absolutely loved. The property was clean and perfect for our needs. The host, Kristy, was also on hand quickly to answer any questions we had to keep our minds at ease during our stay.
