Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Orange County

I am very grateful for the experience of staying here. We had a family emergency and staying here for 2 weeks before moving one of us to an apartment greatly reduced the stress of what was going on. The place was beautiful and spacious, had great grounds to explore, and was clean and welcoming. Bryan was responsive, friendly and generous with his time and resources. I also got some great ideas of what I would like to do with some land I plan to purchase. I highly recommend this place. Thank you.

Loved staying here! Great location - not quite close enough to walk but a very short drive to UNC campus. Kitchen was well stocked, and we loved the coffee bar. Lots of cozy blankets to curl up on the couch with. Comfortable beds & linens, and well stocked bathrooms. It was a great choice for a long weekend for our family of four. It snowed here during our stay, and I'll give a huge thank you to Chelston for scraping a path along the driveway for us to walk safely up and down. The driveway is a little steep, so we parked on the street during the snow. He kept de-icer on the stairs too, so we were able to get up and down just fine. He was quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for a great stay, and for looking out for us during the snow time. Would highly recommend!

Cathy’s house was perfect for our recent family trip! The house itself was as described - very clean and open, well stocked kitchen with basic supplies, and easy to access. Location was very convenient to many restaurants and activities. Cathy was also very communicative before and during our trip, making it an all around success!

Enjoyed our stay, which was extended due to weather. I appreciate the cooperation and willingness from Michael to make the extension. Love that the home allows pets, has a fenced in back yard, and the location in Hillsborough is great. Near services such as grocery store, restaurants, etc. We will definitely stay again when visiting Hillsborough.

Feels like our home away from home. Comfortable, clean, and well stocked home with all the amenities. Responsive and friendly hosts! We would love to stay again (would be third time now) in the future. Thank you Greg and Lisa for a wonderful time with family for Christmas. The house was decorated so nicely for Christmas! We took photos by the tree with our 5 month old granddaughter too! We highly recommend this house for a nice get away. Lovely space with a large backyard great for barbecuing with the family.

We absolutely loved our stay! It was so clean, a great space, and we felt like we were in our own oasis in Chapel Hill. It was so convenient to the stores and Franklin. We even saw a family of deer every morning out our window. Liz was an amazing host! We wanted to stay forever!!

Great little place to stay and exactly as advertised. Host was very friendly and the place was nice and clean. I was a little nervous about it being a basement because I've had bad experience with noisy people upstairs BUT this was NOT the case here. Very quiet and pleasant! Would gladly stay again.

We enjoyed our stay! The location was only 0.6 miles to the Historic Ballpark, so we had a lot of options without needing to worry about parking. The place was clean and comfortable, and was quiet due to it being above the separate garage in the back. Woudl definitely;y stay here again! Thanks, Carrie!

If you have people in Chapel Hill then Rains place is perfectly located (5-10 minutes from any part of town). It's pleasant and warm (we visited during a snowy cold snap and the heat was great). A great find!

The location, the communication from the host and the peace and quiet at this Airbnb location are a few of my biggest takeaways during my holiday stay here. Unfortunately, I still had to work through the holiday however, mohmeets Airbnb allowed me to have a separate working space to complete my work. Whenever I come back in town, I will definitely be booking here again.

Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway with family or friends! Lots of thoughtful touches, stocked very well. The place is immaculate and very homey! We will definitely utilize this property again!

Beautiful cabin along a babbling creek that made for a private getaway (but not too far from great restaurants and town!) Cabin was in pristine condition and was very cozy. All the amenities you would want - great little kitchen and bathroom and bedroom, beautiful side porch to drink morning coffee and stare out at the natural world. Loved reading about the history of the cabin and appreciated the love and care that has gone into it. Carol and Tom were extremely responsive and very proactive in communicating. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed a peaceful weekend at this cabin! Daniel was very quick to respond to any of our questions and extremely understanding when many of our trip details got unexpectedly switched around by late flights and hospitalized family (the best laid plans, right?). We ended our stay wishing we could spend more time in this sweet little spot. It's a short walking distance from Fearrington Village, which has farm animals, a quaint bookstore, and delicious restaurants. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Our little boys (2 and 5) enjoyed the swing and the zipline that day.

Ben’s place was so beautiful, extremely peaceful, and super easy to navigate to! We especially loved the chickens he has on the property- they love their treats and are super friendly! We would definitely recommend staying there, it was perfect for our mini-moon after our wedding!

Beautiful historic home with lots of space to spread out. The gas fireplace helped us warm up after a long, cold and wet drive from Maryland. The strings of lights on the railings and thru the forest were enchanting. We had a great long weekend, despite the lousy weather.

A peaceful and relaxing lakeside getaway! We loved the hot tub, the cozy and comfortable accommodations, and having plenty of space to stretch out by the water.

Shane was an amazing host. Everything was pristine when we arrived. Check in was a breeze, the directions were perfect, everything was as advertised. The lake is absolutely beautiful and the views were spectacular. We spent the whole day outside and the cabin was super cozy and comfortable after a long day. We already can’t wait to come back.

This little cabin was so awesome! It was perfect for me and my husbands’ 10 year anniversary! The cabin was so well kept and the decor was so eclectic and nostalgic, it made it feel very homey and so cozy! I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 days! We didn’t use all the amenities but they definitely covered all their bases and stocked the place with anything you’d want or need in your own home. Being it’s February and it was cold outside, I was worried it would be chilly, but they also had that covered and again it was super cozy in the cabin. Beautiful woods and trail surrounding the property, yet close to the cute little downtown area of Pittsboro which was only about 10 minutes away. There are some nice restaurants and coffee shops there. Jordan Lake State Park was also only a few minutes drive from the place, a gorgeous place to take in more nature. Also there was a really cool Tiger Rescue nearby that we visited. The price was so reasonable and this place is beyond worth it!
