Fairytale Thatched Highland Cottage, Aberfeldy

Anne was the most helpful and professional host we’ve had. We tried some of the recommendations and were delighted. The welcome basket was generous and there was a personalised card which Anne had taken the time to write.

Holiday Cottage - Kenmore

HelenRating, 5 stars5 days ago
this was a return visit for our family, we love the local area and the accommodation is ideal as it's next to the water for kayaking and near good walking routes. The house is very well fitted out, the kitchen easily accommodated all of us and we had all we needed to self cater. The rooms are comfortable and are all now en suite, which is great. We also liked the living room and fire in the evenings. We will very definitely be back! With extra thanks to Rebecca who was very responsive and helpful.

Birnam Guest House, bed and breakfast, Dunkeld

SharonRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Adrian’s place is truly a wee hidden gem. From the moment I contacted Adrian about leaving our luggage in early, ahead of the official check-in time, Adrian was a very friendly, flexible and welcoming host. Our room was very quiet with lovely views to the forest behind. The en-suite room was excellent and guests can control how much room heat they require 24/7. The shower was lovely, warm and easy to work. The highlight of Adrian’s b&b is the fantastically freshly cooked to order full Scottish breakfast, sourced from local suppliers……delicious and it sets you up for the rest of the day. Adrian is passionate about Scottish wildlife, heritage and its ecology. He is a fantastic font of knowledge about wildlife and runs tours to various parts of Scotland. I cannot recommend Adrian’s place enough, it is extremely good value for money and it is warm, clean, accessible and situated right on the Main Street of Birnam. Thank you Adrian very much for looking after us so very well. The McCloys.

Luxury Waterside Lodge on Loch Lomond, Scotland

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Mel’s place is nothing short of incredible. From the minute we booked to the minute we left Mel was friendly, accommodating and helpful. The welcome hamper was perfect for us and very generous. The place itself is idyllic. It feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere but yet you have everything you want and need on your doorstep. The house is clean, well equipped, comfortable, warm (we stayed in February!) and has lots of high quality features. The view over the loch is incredible and changes everytime you look at it which only made the whole trip even better. We managed a boat trip with Cruise Loch Lomond on Mel’s recommendation and a walk up to the hydroelectric station again, on Mel’s recommendation. Both amazing experiences. I would recommend a stop at the farm shop in Luss for some square sausage and rolls for breakfast. Thanks Mel 🙂 Lou, Darius and the kids.

Lochside Luxury

BlairRating, 5 stars3 months ago
An incredibly beautiful location with amazing views down Loch Rannoch. The house itself is lovely. The kitchen is big and well equipped, and the dining area spacious. The two big fridges and freezers meant that you can stock up properly and avoid the shops. The living room, with wood burning stove, is super cosy. All the bedrooms are well appointed (the beds are very comfortable), and having two en suite bathrooms is great. The hotel is a really easy walk and the Wild Brownie pub has lovely food and very friendly staff. The delivery from Tescos worked exceptionally well too. The location is spectacular with lovely walks and exquisite drives. The drive to Aberfeldy is particularly magnificent (although icy currently). We had the happiest time over New Year with plenty of space to chill and play games and cook as a family. We are all keen to return.

Couples/Solo travelers Beachside cottage on Loch Rannoch

RebeccaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We just had the most wonderful stay at Sadhara bothy. The location is remote and stunning, perfect for a peace and quiet getaway. The bothy is well equipped, clean and cosy. The fireplace got the bothy nice and toasty. It's also a 20 min drive through beautiful red deer moorland to the train station where we picked up some fantastic cake to eat on the train and watch the awesome scenery go by on the west highland line. There were beautiful walks through the blackwood, a pristine loch you could get out on, and pleanty of wildlife to spot. Will have to go back again to explore more. Thank you so much Melanie & Peter for having us x

Ardeonaig Lodge

AnnaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This house was in a stunning location. Fit 8 of us very comfortably. Love that we all had our own bathrooms. Bathtub was awesome! Beds were all extremely comfortable. Fresh sheets and towels. I’ve given 5 stars for everything but there were a few things I think could be improved just in light of paying 900+ for two nights. There was a smell in the fridge when we arrived, shower head was broken in one of our rooms, there were some dirty dishes in the kitchen but maybe to do with dishwasher as we found it didn’t wash dishes very well? I know it seems pedantic but curtains were hanging off in the living room, mould on the ceilings and quite a few old looking spiders/webs. I know it’s rural but they looked like they’d been there a while. These complaints were minor and didn’t impact a fabulous stay. I just feel like combined they were worth mentioning as they are easy to fix for the next guest. Would stay here again definitely. Loved having our own wee beach.
