Lake house holiday rentals in Portage Lakes

The home was exactly as described (including photos). Since we are from the area, we knew Portage Lakes is a great/quiet/beautiful area. Leslie did a wonderful job updating the home. Moring coffee to evening nightcaps, the decks provided an incredible atmosphere! We will be looking for this home every time we return to Ohio (o matter what the season)! Thanks for a great stay!!

Hosts are great and the property is a great place to head to to relax by the water.

The location is lovely. We stayed off season and it was quite peaceful. The place was as described. We had very issues which we communicated and the hosts were very responsive.

This home was the perfect getaway for the weekend. Photos are accurate, hot tub was clean, and the response time from Amanda was excellent. They even allow dogs and have a fenced in yard, which was super convenient. Will hopefully book this place again in the future!

We traveled from Florida to Ohio to visit family and friends, and stayed in this great place in Portage Lakes. It was close to everything we needed, and at the same time felt very private because of the lush surroundings.

We stayed at Jessica's place during the solar eclipse and we will be back whenever we come to Cleveland! The house was nice and comfortable. The pool was AMAZING! The deck looks out to a beautiful natural park and lake. I have shy kids, ages 4 and 8, and Jessica was FANTASTIC with them. They LOVED her friendly cats and dog. they say it's their favorite AirBnB ever, and last year we stayed at a literal castle in Italy, so that's saying something.

This was a great little house to accommodate our families for the extended weekend. It largely met expectations in terms of space and amenities. Only negatives was water pressure in the shower wasn't optimal, but that typically can't be helped. And the basement stairs (to access laundry) were steep but thankfully there was good and sturdy hand rails. All in all, if I needed to stay in this part of Ohio again, I would definitely try to re-book this place! Friendly reminder: log out of your streaming accounts!

Julie was very helpful & accommodating. The home decor was lovely. We stayed the week of Christmas & she decorated the house for Christmas, including a tree, so our experience of staying away from home during Christmas felt festive, warm and cozy. I was impressed with the house, it was very roomy & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked (had everything we needed, including PT & hand soap). She even provided a snack basket & some bottles of water in the fridge. We had our dog with us & she provided a dog's water bowl & even towels to wipe the dog's feet. There is a fenced-in back yard. There was a TV in the living room & in each bedroom. The bathrooms were stocked with TP, towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, & a hair dryer. Julie was very quick to respond to any questions I had, both before our stay & during our stay. Access to lake is great. The neighborhood wasn't particularly visually appealing, but I would stay there again and would recommend to others.

super clean and cute on the inside. thankful for the colored porch lights. my only wish is that with it being such a hot week the a.c. would have been on prior to arrival. but overall a great stay ❤️

This place was perfect for two or three guests. The bedrooms are on a floor by themselves and both rooms were well decorated, clean and comfortable. I liked that there were fans in the closet so we could have white noise :) The neighborhood was very quiet. I enjoyed lots of the details of the decorations from the cute throw pillows to the charming drawer pulls. The kitchen was stocked well :) Some things to note: since there is hard water in this neighborhood, there is a smell of water softener when bathing or using the sink. It was a nice touch to have plenty of bottled water in the fridge. We visited in February during a snow storm and loved it, I would like to return during warmer months to enjoy more of the outdoor amenities.

Charming little place with everything we needed for our trip with me and three girlfriends. Would recommend. John was very proactive and responsive with communication.

Had a wonderful time staying right on the lake. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs - not more than one flight; but a lot of transitional steps in between living areas. This might be relevant to anyone with mobility issues. Melanie was an incredible host and helped with all of our needs. The location is in a lovely neighborhood that is fun to explore. We really enjoyed the pier and kayaks provided.

We absolutely loved our stay at Valley View 1888! Our church small group (10 adults) rented it for a weekend retreat together, and it was the perfect space for us. The dining room was spacious, and the living room had a great amount of seating while still feeling like a cozy home space, and having the sunroom so close was amazing, because several of the ladies spent almost the whole weekend basking in that natural light, and we could still be a part of whatever else was going on in the house. I was super impressed with how well stocked the house was! From dishes to towels and blankets we had whatever we needed. And there were lots of little things that we wouldn't have NEEDED but made the place feel like a home away from home (like tissues, paper cups in the bathroom, and some kitchen goods). It made me feel very welcome and cared for as a guest. Oh, and the house was just gorgeous. 10/10 would have booked a stay just to look at and around the house.

Had great time nice place little pricey but ok and would loved to come back

A group of my friends and I rented the home for one night to host our 5th Murder Mystery Game and we were blown away with how perfect this place was for it! We had plenty of space for the food we brought and everyone had a place to stay to sleep. It was nice and private, which is exactly what we were looking for. Some of my friends can get a little loud during these events, which is exactly why we chose this place for the lack of quiet hour restrictions. The space was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we would need, even cookies for us to enjoy upon arrival (which were delicious). A lot of us discussed possibly returning during the summer because we loved it so much!

Nick is a wonderful host! Myself and a few friends stayed at the home for a wedding at the Tudor House which was a quick drive away. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the water. Nick was very responsive regarding a few changes before our stay. Highly recommend!

We are 5-star Airbnb hosts ourselves and have very high standards and Cathy's Chippewahoo met or exceeded them all. Where do I start? First of all, spotlessly clean. Second, Cathy has thought of EVERYTHING anyone might need - I especially appreciated the Kleenex in nearly every room - it's amazing how many Airbnbs do not supply ANY Kleenex! Fully stocked kitchen and also bathroom. Comfy beds and lots of extra bedding. Since it's winter, we didn't get to take advantage of the lake but I did see that Cathy has supplied coolers, towels and everything one might need for a day at the beach. The decor is charming, the furniture is ever-so-comfy and high quality. We need to return in summer so we can take advantage of the cute porch/deck and fire pit. It was so quiet and peaceful there, even though in a neighborhood with close neighbors. Truly a 5-star experience.

Great location for this home, and for the needs of my family. Home could use some updating, but overall serviced our family well.

This place was exactly as described. The house was nicely put together and very comfortable. It has beautiful views and very quiet place. I would rent this place again. And, the Duber family was very responsive.

Appreciate this stay right here, I almost slept for 14 hours the first day 😂 Bed was too comfortable. Thank you for your help and time in your home. I will be back. 💯
