Monthly Rentals in Rookley

Having previously stayed in the next door accommodation we had a good idea what we were coming to. The Coach House was even better than The Stable. Beautifully quiet and restful and very central - ideal for our needs while visiting elderly friends. We come to the island several times a year and would use the accommodation more regularly but it is often booked when we need to come - I think that says it all! Should any future visitors with dogs need to visit a vet while on the island, as we unfortunately did, we found The Peoples Vet extremely good.

Stayed at Rainbow’s End for 3 nights with my 9-year old daughter. Sue was responsive and friendly and the place was easy to find. Inside was nice and clean and had all of the things you need for a short break. As there is no oven/hob, we used the air fryer and hot plate (which was a little fiddly to get the right temperature). Shower was nice and the double bed was super comfortable. Sofa bed (as with most sofa beds) was not amazingly comfortable but ok for a few nights. Lovely surroundings, with open fields, pygmy goats, lots of lovely dogs (both Sue’s and visitors using a very popular dog training field). Was perfect for our needs and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

This is a great place for a couple, close to Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor, although you can go anywhere from there, very quiet and reasonably easy to find. I very much enjoyed my six months there and would have loved to extend my stay, Kerry, Simon and Sadie are good company and Tyson the dog is adorable, hopefully I can get back to visit someday. The island itself has so much going on and everything is easy to get to. A must for people that want to explore but have that quiet time
