Great place to stay outside main Orkney towns but easy driving distance to everywhere. bistro and bakery onsite. helped organise bike hire on Rousay. hosts really helpful and accommodating of extra requests. warm and cosy at night and stunning daytime weather.

Of 60 or so places we have stayed at Airbnb, this has been the best Airbnb experience we’ve had! Given that this is a special trip (our honeymoon, which we had not mentioned before showing up) we feel very fortunate indeed! Stewart was an absolutely phenomenal host. So thoughtful and kind. But not imposing or ‘ever present’; just enough for a nice chat when we bump into one another out in the garden, and for some wonderful home-baked treats :) Stewart’s advice about getting last-minute tickets to Maeshowe (just a few minutes down the lane) was spot on and was the only reason we were able to visit. The place is really relaxed and quiet, a place to really unwind. It is a perfect base for exploring these wonderful islands, centrally located with all that’s needed just a 10 minute drive or a short bike ride away. We will certainly be back for an anniversary, as this place holds a special place in our hearts.

Lovely cottage in the perfect location for us, with gorgeous views. The cottage is really nicely decorated and fitted out, and has all the things we needed and wanted. Hosts were really friendly too. Great place to say to see Rousay and get back and forth to Mainland.

we really enjoyed our stay. the house was very clean and comfortable. It's not far from the main town but is out in the country and very peaceful. The house is very central so everything is easily accessible. Plenty of great walks if that's what you want, but, if like us you just want peace and quiet, it's great for that too. The house is warm and cosy and should you want to cook, there is everything you might need.
