I spent a wonderful month in this location - it's clean and comfortable with good wifi for remote working - perfect for what I was after. Maria is a wonderful host who is always responsive and cleaned the place once a week while leaving me nice things for breakfast! She even gave me a lift to and from Catania (c.10km) with my heavy suitcase. Trecastagni is a pleasant town on the slopes of Etna with accessible supermarkets and other essential shops as well as a some nice bars and restaurants and several churches. This location is better for those with private vehicles as the buses to/from Trecastagni are somewhat unreliable and it is a walk of several miles to the nearest train station (Acireale). However for those with vehicles it offers good access to Etna as well as other attractions in the area such as Catania and Acireale.

We loved our stay in this place! The tiny house is super cute and has everything you need for a short stay. Petra was a great host! She showed us how to make fire in the oven and had some interesting stories to tell about the Etna. Also, most of all, I enjoyed the closeness to the wonderful horses the most! They were beautiful and friendly and we did a really lovely ride into the beautiful surroundings. Petra made also sure, that our riding sessions met our level and wishes, so we felt safe and could enjoy the breathtaking nature around the Etna. Thank you Petra for this short but lovely time with you!

Well, this beautiful villa is a historical and hidden gem with more than friendly and welcoming hosts living in it! It's a perfect spot to explore the Etna and the hosts will always offer advice and support. Besides that the apartment has everything one needs and is very cozy. Thanks for having us!

We had a great week-long stay. The listing was as described in every way. For a discovery with a vehicle, it is very well located in relation to downtown Catania, the airport (15 km), Etna as well as all the places to visit on the EAST coast of the island because close to an entrance to the highway (regular slowdowns to take into account but it is to be expected whatever the situation of a accommodation around Catania....). Sandra waited for us despite the late arrival, very well received with attention as soon as we arrived and during the stay. Warm, she has always taken care of our well-being. The accommodation was impeccable! The outdoor courtyard was very nice, it felt like home. It's very secure and always the possibility to park nearby. We highly recommend, thank you Sandra!
