It was awesome!It was so much fun!

Had THE most wonderful stay at Haruya Guest House. After sending us detailed public transport description, Yumi met us off the bus to walk us to the house with an umbrella. The space was incredible. Very relaxing and we did a gorgeous 6hr hike into the mountains on our full day. Harufumi and Yumi were so helpful and kind, and their pet duck, dog and pigeon really made it for us.

Wonderful house in the suburbs of Nara. Extremely comfortable futon mattresses and a large space to relax. Toshie is a wonderful host and we will definitely be back for another stay!

Mami and Shohei have put thoughtfulness into every aspect of the accomodation. Every piece of art, every perfectly placed trinket and book was the epitome of perfection. I recommend the fire heated bath, and sitting peacefully looking at the garden. Such a lovely place to rest, in a country that can be exhausting. Nose is does not have public transport and although Shohei would have driven us to dinner I opted to eat in the little bar area with the food prepared by Shohei and Mami, and it could not have been a better decision. The food was as delicious, nutritious, local and ended up being my favourite meals of Japan. Shohei and Mami are wonderful people. I enjoyed very much getting to know them and hope to come back to spend time with these wonderful people. They also introduced us to their friends Rumi who we did a tea ceremony with and Naoya who is a local guide and took us around the area. I learned a lot and visited so many incredibly beautiful places.
