What a find! I booked Deyse’s apartment for my Father and he loved it. It’s in a quiet and safe area and just a 5-10 minute drive to the beach and all the bars and restaurants. The apartment is small but has a sizeable private covered deck to enjoy sunsets and jungle rains. My Father loves spending time on the deck and looking at all the trees. The apartment is very clean and both Deyse and her husband are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend especially for long term stays. The price and quality can’t be beat.

I stayed here for over 2 months... and my time here has been amazing. The hotel is a run by an amazing family that made me feel safe, welcome, and supported the whole way through. If I ever needed something they were there to help. The location is great... it is where a lot of locals and long-term travelers stay... close to everything and within walking distance to Zicatela beach. The only thing is the birds be SQUAWKINGG!! Roosters, crows, the whole nine... so be prepared. Wifi is pretty bad. Not good enough to work from home, so plan to invest in a coworking space if you do. The kitchen is perfect.. pretty small but has all the essentials to cook from home. Other than that... this place is a great stay and I would highly recommend it for a long term traveler on a budget.

I couldn't imagine a more ideal place to stay than Max's Airbnb, if you're the kind of person going out and exploring and just need a place to wash, cook and sleep, Max's place is surely all you need on a quiet little street close to everything. Plus, Max makes excellent pizzas in his restaurant on the same property as the Airbnb. Hard to beat this location, can't get much better than Max's place, especially for the price.

I had an absolutely lovely time staying with Oscar, Eli, and Karla. They made me feel very welcome and at home. Ee shared many laughs and meals together. This was one of my favorite places I've stayed just because of the wonderful people (and the cats!). As the description says, the house is in a neighborhood that is a 20min walk from the main beaches and city center. I rented a scooter and enjoyed getting around that way.
