Cabin holiday rentals in Skye

We had a wonderful stay at Fersit! There is everything you could possibly need, fully kitted out kitchen, spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and you can live in luxury with a log burner and huge hot tub. Everything has been thought of, with satellite internet to enjoy, even in the privacy of such a remote location, and a whole booklet full of helpful tips, tricks and local recommendations for places to eat, public transport, local shops and more. The location is perfectly situated, being remote enough for privacy and relaxation whilst allowing for reasonable journeys to the nearest towns, attractions etc. All in all we’ve had a lovely stay and will be sure to return!

Glorious place! And Rebeccas attention to detail is top tier and cannot fault the place. Close to amenities (the pub!) and the view is so lovely! We will be back x

Thank you so much for providing such a welcoming, clean and peaceful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & so lucky with the weather. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. I brought my kayak and used it on the loch with friends. Just a few steps away from the lodge which was so handy. The hot tub was luxury and absolutely spotless. Loved every minute with my best friends.

Jack’s place was incredible, you’re near some other properties but it never feels like it, it’s very private, especially because it’s at the end of a lane and you feel like you’re in a forest. The wood fired hot tub was great to come back to after a long walk (just make sure you leave 90 minutes for it to get up to temperature). We did all of our shopping beforehand so we didn’t need to drive out to get anything so it’s worth planning ahead if you’re able to. We got given some delicious fresh eggs from Jack’s chickens as apparently they were producing a lot at that point which was a lovely surprise. Jack kindly leant us some of his maps for our walks as well which was very handy. It’s a great base for both big walks and shorter easier ones, with great scenery all around. It’s also a great place if the weather doesn’t play ball and you want to stay in for the day and get cozy with a fire. Fantastic!

Margaret's cabin is perfectly kept, with great attention to detail. it seems everything has been thought of and accommodated for. our stay here could not have been better. Also the hot tub is a dream!

We absolutely loved Dulcie’s lodge…The place is really clean and well maintained 👍 It is really easy to find and has its privacy in case of you simply want to get away from the city and be alone with the nature 🎄 Dulcie is very friendly and easy to communicate with 😎 Location is simply amazing, surrounded by the mountains and just on the lake, so you can enjoy it’s calmness and beauty 😍🗻 It is within driving distance from so many gorgeous spots to visit, you’ll never get bored 😊 We are very grateful for the hospitality and will definitely come back again 🧣

One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in. The perfect end to our week camping around Skye. Beautiful facility that is filled with quirky little Skye themed pieces. Hot tub is very private. The lodge is also within walking distance to restaurants & cafes.

The Shepherd’s Hut is just like the photos! Such a quirky, cosy place to settle in after a big day of walking many of the beautiful tracks Skye has to offer. Away from the hustle and bustle but not too far of a drive to all the activities. The hot tub was so nice for the body after all the exercise and we got pretty good at lighting fires to keep us warm during the day/through the night! Helen, the host, is so lovely. She left us homemade white chocolate fudge and was super understanding when I messed up our check out date. Communicating with her was so easy and she seems like a very kind person. Scotland is a long way from Australia but we would definitely come back to this hut if we have the chance again.

For our family of 4 Harriet’s cabin was a perfect rand cosy etreat and starting base for exploring the environment. The location is scenic and calm and the cabin is well equipped and beautifully maintained. Check in and out went very smoothly and the host are very friendly and supportive. Looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

This was a lovely peaceful, scenic base for our trip. Margo and Amanda were responsive to any requests. Hut is well fitted out and warm and cosy.

This place was a dream for us and our dog! could not have picked a better location! was a great location to see things in the area with beautiful walks and lochs! also was a good location for getting to Skye! Lindsay also had a n amazing welcome pack which was such a nice touch for us and our dog! Lindsay was amazing and super helpful throughout! She even messaged us to give us a heads up about the northern lights being visible and allowed us to capture and see this for the first time ever! so grateful for this. highly recommend this place!

Gillies Rest is a great stay and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a hike in the nearby area. Place is exactly as advertised, please make sure you check what is available and what are the limitations. Place was extremely clean, the beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped. Overall - it was great and hopefully we'll return someday.

The cabin was absolutely lovely, the bed was comfortable & the kitchen had everything we needed & there's also a big a Morrisons close by for groceries. Jakkie was friendly & super helpful, we would definitely come back again!

Lovely cabin. Very spacious and lots of light inside. Sea and mountain views. Beautiful area with immediate access to the (boulder)beach. Wild deer around the house. Alasdair was very welcoming and helped us out of need with throat pastilles on a Sunday night, thank you a thousand times! In short, a wonderful place to stay.

This was far and away the most amazing stay that could be imagined. The lodge was immaculate, perfectly tucked into the breathtaking environment, and everything that one could look for. It felt like we were going home anytime we drove down into the Sleat peninsula. After long days of adventuring, our kids spent hours running around the open pastures using only their minds and bodies to have the most fun any kid could experience! Every window looked like a perfectly framed photograph. On top of it all, Anita was just an all around perfect host!

This place is magical! The view from the cabin is beautiful and it’s so peaceful. All we could hear in the morning was the cuckoo! We watched otters playing in the water below, a seal sunbathing on the rocks and lots of bullfinches in the trees! The cabin is very comfortable, cosy and warm to come back to after exploring this amazing island. Grant and Lorna are really lovely people and went out of their way to help us. This was our best holiday yet and we will definitely be back one day.

Lori was really helpful and hospitable. The animals were great. The view out the cabin is lovely, especially for watching for shore birds. Unfortunately we missed out on the otter, seals, and porpoises that are sometimes spotted nearby. Comfy cabin. Good size for such a small cabin.

We are very happy to have chosen Sally and Adam's chalet for our stay on the Isle of Skye. The accommodation is surrounded by nature, instills peace and serenity, great place to rest the mind👌🏻 the cottage is equipped with all the necessary amenities, the view is spectacular at all hours of the day. Sally and Adam are very helpful and kind people. Special thanks to Adam who helped us solve a problem with our car tire. Super recommended!!! Federico & Marta

Would have been handy to use the gate to the cafe rather than the road, and dont follow the postcode, follow the instructions to the cafe, and take the right after the cafe. Otherwise lovely little cabin and great little stay. Thank you

This is a cabin in a totally spectacular location, the most stunning situation you’ll find in the Scottish Highlands with views to savour over Loch Broom, down to the majestic Munros of the area. Sadly I had to cut short my stay for medical reasons but my time in the cabin was very comfortable and special. The hosts’ description is accurate in terms of amenities, if you’re someone who likes to cook every day it’s not or you, but plan around using a microwave and toaster and you’ll be just fine. The hosts leave fruit, water, and treats superbly baked! It’s a fair hike up from Ullapool on the road, but there is a well constructed path across the hillside to take you into the town and beyond. Would love to return in happier personal circumstances.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sara’s cabin. The location was perfect for us - quiet, beautiful, comfortable. Walking and kayaking from the door and we were treated to a couple of otter sighting whilst we were there. Sara was a great host, and did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Would highly recommend.
