Monthly Rentals in Spennymoor

This is my second time at The Retreat in 2 weeks and we will definitely be back. Fantastic lodge, very clean and tidy. Lots of little nibbles as gifts from host which my daughter and niece loved. This stay went to the pool and sauna which was fantastic, free coffee, tea and biscuits when you come out which is a lovely little touch. Thank you for a fantastic stay xx

We stayed here on the first night of our North-East castle roadtrip. Very comfortable and clean home, easy to find, and location wise close to Auckland Palace, Raby Castle, and the Barnard Castle ruins. The host had left loads of leaflets and info on local attractions, made us wish we were staying longer!

My family, myself, wife and 16 year old son, stayed her last week - Saturday to Wednesday. Gorgeous premises. Lovely hosts and very helpful. The house is right on the river so we did a spot of fishing. We went into Durham twice for dinner and found some lovely restaurants - taxis were circa £10 each way which is fine. We cooked one night and all of the equipment we needed was there for us to use. We also had a take away delivered so a bit of everything. Beds were very comfy and the decor is very very nice and of a high quality. If you want somewhere to stay that gives you loads of options from literally just switching off and staying in all the way through to being out all of the time and using it as somewhere to rest your head - to be honest, we wanted to spend time in the house as it was so gorgeous. WiFi was spot on meaning I could catch up on some work and there are 3 tv’s (1 in each bedroom and 1 in the living room). Highly recommended and thanks for having us.

Excellent value for money . Lovely decor, good parking, quiet location . Spacious and immaculately clean . Well maintained private garden . . Good internet connection. Large selection of tea/coffee available, cereals, toiletries and more. Good selection of take aways restaurant and local shops within walking distance . ASDA and petrol station . Slept well . Bath and shower in large spacious bathroom. Honestly couldn’t have asked for more . Thank you so much for your hospitality Will definitely be returning
