Lesley’s place is easy to find, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were walking the Clarendon Way from Salisbury to Winchester, for which Kings Somborne is an ideal staging. Recommended.

This is a lovely place to relax and just be in nature away from it all. Close enough to village shops and other villages and restaurants and pubs. The accommodation is very clean and tidy, very comfortable sofas and chairs and excellent beds. Kitchen all the whitegoods are modern and high standard. Great location for Stonehenge and Avebury as well as Mottisfont Priory a National Trust house and grounds. The hosts seem very approachable, friendly and helpful. To be honest the only negative is getting there down a track, the house track is very well maintained and easy driving but the farm track previous to that has a hundred yards or so of very uneven surface. That said I drive a very low hung car and with care had no problems at all. Patience is definitely required though and most modern cars will have no issues.

Great stay in a very quiet and peaceful village. Great dog walking from the door. Sun room and lounge an excellent place. Host very helpful, even got a tour of the village and learnt all about the history.

I enjoyed my stay at Sophie’s annex, it was refreshing and a great space to get away and enjoy some time alone. I had a lovely time cooking in the mini kitchen and the sunset was a great watch from the backyard. Stockbridge itself is a quaint little town, filled with beautiful nature and very walk able. I would truly recommend.
