Monthly Rentals in Thirsk

We can’t say enough about Otter Cottage. We stayed two weeks and it felt like home from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Both Haley and Gary were great at communicating and offering helpful suggestions and recommendations for restaurants, places to see and local attractions. Because I had to work while we were there (remotely) I was concerned with the WiFi since I usually have multiple applications running and Teams Meetings/Calls. The WiFi was perfect and I didn’t have any issues at all the entire time we were there. All amenities are high spec, the couch and bed were SUPER comfortable and the back garden enclosed so our dog could run around contained. Haley and Gary even provided me with some potting soil for a near plant fatality I had! The local Old Oak pub is a five minute walk away and is a true gem with GREAT FOOD. The town itself is charming, with some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met! Will definitely come again!!!

Felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. We were relaxed instantly after our long journey. It was only 6 mins away from the Wedding venue. We would recommend and definite stay again. Friendly neighbours, and a beautiful place for walking 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped, warm and welcoming. Set amongst beautiful fields, with sheep and lambs to entertain us! A very thoughtful welcome package made a great first impression. From booking the cottage, through to leaving, Jane's communication was excellent. The Old Oak Tree pub in the village was really nice and walking distance from the cottage. Beautiful Thirsk is only five minutes down the road. We will definitely be staying again and can not recommend the cottage, as well as Jane, highly enough!

‘Nana Duck’s Cottage’ was filled with charm and we feel that home immediately. It is an extremely well appointed place to stay with attention to detail, very clean, very comfortable and perfect for our needs. It was such a great position for the charming town of Thirsk, its eateries, great shopping, friendly folk. The world of James Herriot was very interesting and a fun filled visit. Lovely riverside walks and the springtime weather was just outstanding. Would recommend this area for a short break. Even got to Scarborough which was great fun. Thanks for clear and accurate messages and instructions from Laura our host. We had no need to contact during our stay, as it was all accurately conveyed by email and in the cottage. Thank you.
