Monthly Rentals in Thorndon Cross

Melrose cottage avoids all my Air B&B pet hates and has all my favourite touches. The cottage is really spacious and beautifully designed. It is spotless, it felt like we were the first guests to stay there. Lovely quality bedding and towels. It is in a great location, with easy access to the moors. The house has all the essentials (loo roll, detergents, some toiletries, salt, pepper, oil, herbs and spices) as well as a lovely welcome package of a devon cream team and some fruit. We are a car free family and I really appreciate these little touches, means we don't have to pack the pantry! It may not be the most private of location, but is certainly one of the classiest places we have ever stayed.

The Stables is a beautiful place to stay, perfect for long stays also. It is situated in a lovely area. The house is wonderful, the living room is cozy, with a wood burner and the kitchen is well-equipped and spacious. Everything I needed was at the house, and any queries I had were quickly and helpfully responded to. Would definitely recommend!

Her home was exactly what we needed. We loved the small touches with the homemade bread (it was delicious), Easter treats and very detailed handbook with lots of recommendations. We had such an amazing stay! Caroline was so welcoming throughout. She was there to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed when we arrived, and checked in to make sure everything was ok - which is was! The space itself is perfect. It is secluded, private, peaceful and in a great location. From here we were able to explore ALL of Devon and even Cornwall. We did alot of driving but felt it was a great location to really explore and see what Devon has to offer. We travelled South, North, to Cornwall and spent multiple days in Dartmoor which is within a 20 minute drive. Overall our stay was super comfortable and we were made to feel at home the whole time. We will absolutely be back when we return to Devon!
