Maria exceeded our expectations from the 1st minute we booked, providing a great personal message and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The cabin is in a peaceful location even though it's not far from the road and has all the luxuries you would hope for in a home from home. The cabin is decorated beautifully, warm even before the fire was lit and and has amazing views. There was wildlife all around and as a keen birdwatcher, my Dad loved sitting on the veranda, ticking off and photographing lots of different species. Maria provided great local recommendations on where to go and where to eat and all of them were worth a visit. We struggled to get WiFi which was out of Maria's control but it made for a true break from the outside world and wasn't an issue. We would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here and with Maria as host, you will be in very good hands.

Lovely homely cottage. Very clean and well equipped. Extremely comfortable bed. A lovely bottle of wine on our arrival which was very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends. Excellent communication with Sheryl and we would be very happy to stay in this lovely little cottage again .

I’ve stayed in Marc place a few times since it’s peaceful, a great location to venture into different areas , lovely garden and for me personally it has a lovely place to park my vehicle. Add to that a lovely bathroom and a kitchen that has all the bits, it a great place to stay and chill. It a great place for 1 or 2 people to check out plenty of local food places to try and if you’re adventurous, try the choo choo stream train to Whitby.
