Many thanks to Don Angel for his kindness, attention and service. We loved the stay. The house is in very good condition, equipped, clean and tidy. The place is beautiful to rest, surrounded by a lot of nature. It is a place that allows you to rest. Perfect, to go for a bath in the river that is in front of the property, bike or go for a walk.

Casa Sofia is an absolute gem! From the amazing remote and beautiful surroundings to the wonderful property managers, you will be in for a treat! We took advantage of the massages and Tico breakfasts, and they did not disappoint! Coffee and meditation overlooking the serene landscape was a little slice of Heaven. We toured Irazu Volcano, spent time at Termales Hacienda Orosi, and experienced downtown Cartago, including the market and the Basilica. We had a fantastic time everywhere! Highly recommend staying at Casa Sofia. Pura Vida!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Diego's place. Being in the middle of a farm may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for us, it was absolutely perfect, as we wrapped up our two week visit to Costa Rica. Diego greeted us when we arrived, and not only showed us around the house, but gave us a tour of the nearby fields, and even gave us a couple small squash, which we subsequently cooked and ate--yum! We loved sitting on the front veranda watching the wildlife, especially the chachalacas flying from tree to tree, and running across the driveway, and we had a great hike down to the hydroelectric dam--not too far. We also had a great meal at Chumi's Cafe, recommended by Diego. All in all, a very enjoyable stay for us!

We enjoyed very much this quiet and peaceful place: fantastic 360 degrees view on the landscape from well designed and equipped house. However one has to keep in mind that due to road conditions the physical access to the place is challenging, as it is in many places in remote areas in this countries. Volker & Kellyn Bonn, Germany
