Monthly Rentals in Winksley

A great experience from booking until checkout. Jenny communicated with great instructions on finding the place and using what 3 words app, we found the place no problem. we were greeted on arrival and taken to the accomodation which is absolutely stunning both inside and out. It's very well equipped and the bed is so comfy, we had a great sleep. It's so quiet and peaceful with lovely views and the only noise is from the pheasants and other small garden birds. The place was warm and cosy and made us feel at home. My wife loved the attention to detail of the dog bowl and dog towel and also the magazines and books which were left there for her to read. we were there just 2 nights but there was plenty to do nearby. Fountains Abbey is a must, we also had a great walk through Hackfall Woods. We ate at The Galphy Inn on the Sunday, recommended by Jenny, which had great food and character and the staff were lovely. All in all a great relaxing break and would definitely go back.

Jo greeted me with full of smiles and chit chat as soon as i opened the door to the barn i just knew it was going to be such a beautiful stay the place was lovely and warm straight away i noticed a few blankets which is always nice for when your sitting on the nights there was coffee teabags a bottle of milk in the fridge and fresh eggs from her chickens which was such a lovely touch there was also coffee in the fridge for the coffee maker which you will find in the cupboard in the bathroom there was toilet paper body wash shampoo and conditioner staying at the barn was so peaceful it was lovely to wake up in the morning knowing you could sit out on the balcony eating your breakfast while watching the chickens or just simply enjoying the beautiful views Ripon is a short drive away where you can visit the beautiful cathedral and fountain abbey was also a pleasure to visit from start to finish Jo was the perfect host five days & nights of pure peace and quiet thank you 😀

Peaceful, cosy and perfectly presented little cottage. Had such a lovely rest and enjoyed sitting by the woodburner on a chilly night. Fiona is a fantastic, warm and welcoming host.

Thump Cottage is beautifully decorated, cleanliness was pristine and it had everything we could ever have needed. The kitchen was equipped with every piece of equipment you could think of! The bed was so comfy and the sitting room delightful. David provided detailed instructions and information for everything in the cottage . The location was perfect for us and enabled us to travel around the area easily. Make up wipes, cotton wool etc were all thoughtful items to be available, also the bread, milk and juice and the gorgeous lemon drizzle cake were much appreciated.
