Pet-friendly holiday rentals in York

Short break to this accommodation with our daughter and her two sons aged 19 months and 6yrs They loved watching the trains at the back of the property. House walkable into town centre and used two of the takeaways which were good (Fortune Chinese and Capplemans fish and chips. Had a lovely day at Peasholm Park in Scarborough which was about 40 mins drive away. Would recommend this property

we had a great trip , house was lovely and very welcoming. Clare & Gary are wonderful hosts , every detail was taken care of . clean beautiful house and responsive hosts made it very easy ..house was fully equipped with all amenities and they also left a welcome note and chocolates for us,which was a very kind gesture ..in short we loved it and this will be my go to stay place whenever I visit next ..thanks to beautiful couple with a lovely house .xx

We had an amazing stay, Claire's had everything we could possibly need & more! Location was great, a 1 minute walk to the local pub which was really friendly & great for quiz night on a Wednesday! A 20 minute walk into Holmfirth for a choice of lovely coffee shops & places to eat! Plenty of walks & bike rides straight out of the house! Thank you for having us & thank you so much for all the tasty treats!

The house was in an great location, town centre is a 5 minute walk away. Home was lovely and stocked up with things for tea/coffee and more. Hosts communication was clear and consistent and it was easy to check in. Parking was sorted by our hosts and they organised this in advance of our visit. We loved the small touches such as extra plugs in bedrooms and books or leaflets about York. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting York, and would look to stay here again!

This is our favourite place to stay when we visit Halifax, especially when we want to bring our two dogs. It's only a few minutes' drive from the Piece Hall, Shibden Hall, the Bankfield Museum and other places we like to visit, but it is quiet and feels like countryside. Fields are on two sides, with deer and foxes that sometimes pose for us in early morning or at dusk. It's always clean. Everything we need is right there. We especially love have enough of a freezer to bring a week's worth of our dogs' favourite food. In the Halifax area we really don't want to stay anywhere else.

Lovely, cosy home, exactly as described and pictured. Kind and helpful host. Great location, across from an excellent supermarket, and just a stroll from the center of town, with the city walls and York Minster and The Shambles.

Had an amazing stay at York, which made my family and I felt just right at home. Conveniently located at a peaceful estate with a 10min walk to the city centre. Rachel was very responsive and tried her best to accommodate to our needs. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean and well equipped with whatever we need. The linen (hotel grade towels) are clean (I usually don't trust Airbnb towels but this was trustable). The beds were super comfortable, especially the master bedroom one. Even though the house was very old, it still feels very cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended if you are planning to stay in York! 5/5!! ✨

Wow, we loved our stay at Michael’s place and he really is a super host. Couldn’t fault his service in any way. The house itself was perfect for our group, left clean and comfortable by his lovely cleaner (Mum!). Michael was also super responsive and receptive to our needs and really friendly guy. The location itself was perfect to our needs, tucked away but still local and central. Thanks Michael, we will definitely return!

A beautiful little cottage, perfect for a family getaway! A lovely host and friendly staff at the hotel. Would recommend & we will be back!

We had a comfortable and cozy break at Charlotte's Cottage. The grounds were the beautiful and perfect for our dog!

Lovely stay, shepherds hut was well equipped and had all you needed and was nice and cosy inside… outdoor space was also great and we loved the hot tub and bbq facilities which were provided. Gillan was a great host and showed us around, but privacy was not invaded which we liked. Would definitely recommend a stay here

Lovely little cottage, nice simple accomodation in a lovely quiet area. Not many things to do without driving away from the immediate vicinity but the pool and games rooms on site are a bonus

Honestly can't rate this place highly enough. We planned to stay for 2 nights but had such a great time we ended up staying an extra night. Extremely clean, lovely and quiet (it was off season) and plenty of places walkable or within a short drive. Everyone on the site seemed lovely and Angela was very responsive and gave lots of really good information before and during our visit. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

If there was a six star rating then I would definitely pick that! Julian’s house is superb, we stayed for 4 nights after the new year as a family and have had the best time. The house is just beautiful in a gorgeous location and very spacious. There were 9 of us and 3 dogs all together and we had more than enough room. I would wholeheartedly recommend Foxhall farm along with Julian and Jolene who are great and very helpful. Thank you for fab holiday 🥰

Had such a wonderful stay at this location. The amenities were amazing, particularly loved the farm produce and onsite pool! The hosts were always responsive and keen to help. The place was spotless and well stocked! Would love to stay again!

Fantastic and extremely clean stay! Lynne greeted us on arrival and made us feel right at home. A very detailed instruction pack was provided which made it easy to know how to use the various appliances in the kitchen and rooms. The location is so peaceful and feels very secure, and the accommodation itself was so cosy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for any future stays!

Francis was such a lovely host. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything for our stay. The accommodation was very clean, had all the facilities and was ideally located for our stay. Francis left us clear instructions to check in/out and during our stay and his communication was great. Would highly recommend a stay at Francis's place and cannot thank you enough for our lovely stay!

Our stay was lovely. Property was beautiful perfect location for our plans and the communication before and after was great. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Really good spot. Great for the city and them 10mins walk to the countryside and walks. The place was more like a upmarket hotel suite than your normal airbnb. Karen answered all our query's immediately and was a good guide for restaurants and pubs. The place was immaculate. Really. really immaculate! Highly recommended.

Lovely relaxing stay. Loved the hot tub. Great walks and lovely restaurant in the village. Spotless accommodation. We will return.

What a hidden gem this cabin is. Peaceful private location within easy walking distance ( off road) to Pickering . Only two downsides, we could not get the fire hot the hot tub to stay lit so we couldn’t use it - which was in the over all cost of the accommodation and therefore not good value for money to us and there was a nuisance of flies within the cabin which was worse when cooking. This is obviously an ongoing problem considering that the hosts have left items to help manage this - sticky fly tape from ceiling, fly swatter and fly spray.

Had a lovely couple of days- Tracey is a brilliant host and sent us recommendations for places to walk and eat! House has everything you need and the view is fantastic- even in the rain it felt cosy to sit in the window seat and watch the wind and rain in the valley! I’m not very confident with the narrow roads so after the first day I parked on a larger road and walked up 😂 but added to the sense of adventure and Holmfirth is very walkable! The welcome basket was lovely after our long drive up and the whole house just felt like a proper home - thank you so much! Hope to visit again ❤️
